Following a recent site review, CoinCentral has strengthened its advertising and sponsored content policies to better protect readers, ensure transparency, and fully align with Google’s Search Essentials and spam policies.
Our goal is to maintain the highest editorial standards while continuing to support legitimate blockchain and crypto projects that wish to share factual news, updates, or announcements with our audience.
1. Editorial Independence
CoinCentral maintains strict editorial independence.
All content, whether editorial, contributed, or sponsored, is reviewed or written by our in-house team to ensure it meets our quality, factual accuracy, and compliance standards. Our writers and editors do not accept payments or incentives in exchange for coverage or favorable opinions.
2. Sponsored Content Policy
We accept sponsored content, press releases, or partnership announcements only if they meet the following standards:
- Provide accurate, verifiable information about a project, company, or event.
- Are clearly disclosed as “Sponsored” or “Advertisement.”
- Undergo editorial review to ensure compliance with Google’s guidelines.
Sponsored content must not:
- Include any promises, projections, or claims of guaranteed profits, fixed yields, or token price increases (e.g., “earn 10% daily,” “100x potential”).
- Use misleading, unverifiable, or speculative investment language.
- Promote cloud mining, HYIP, or any other yield-based financial product.
3. Crypto Presales & Project Announcements
We welcome legitimate crypto presale or project update articles under these strict conditions:
- The project must be authentic, verifiable, and transparent (with public team, website, or documentation).
- The article must focus on informing readers, such as providing news, tokenomics, roadmap updates, partnerships, or technology details.
- The content must not make financial promises or imply speculative returns or “X” growth potential.
In short:
It’s fine to discuss your presale or new project, but never okay to promise or imply profit or return percentages.
4. News & Commentary Contributions
CoinCentral allows companies and organizations to submit or sponsor news or commentary articles provided they adhere to the following principles:
- News articles must be objective, fact-based, and unbiased. Contributors should not insert promotional language, company mentions, or calls-to-action within the main body of the news article itself.
- A company may include a clearly separated section before or after the article (for example, “This news is brought to you by [Company Name]”), where they can provide details about their project, links, or banners.
- The news content and the promotional section must be visually and structurally distinct, ensuring readers can easily tell what is editorial news and what is advertising.
- All such contributions will be clearly disclosed as Sponsored News or Advertiser Commentary and reviewed by our editorial team to ensure neutrality and transparency.
This separation ensures readers receive unbiased information while allowing sponsors to provide transparent context about their company or project.
5. “Top X” Crypto Lists & Rankings
CoinCentral may publish or accept sponsored placement for “Top X Crypto Projects,” “Top X Coins,” or similar ranking-style articles under the following strict rules:
- All such content must be objective, research-based, and clearly marked as the opinion of the writer or editorial team.
- These articles must include a visible disclaimer noting that the content reflects opinion only and does not constitute financial or investment advice.
- Companies sponsoring these posts may include a “Brought to you by [Company Name]” section, placed either before or after the main content. This section must be clearly labeled and visually distinct.
- Sponsors may not include their own project within the ranked or recommended list under any circumstances.
- Rankings or mentions must be based on objective, transparent factors (e.g., market adoption, technology, innovation, or utility), not on payment or partnership.
These measures ensure readers understand that list-style or ranking articles are editorial opinions — not investment recommendations — and that sponsorships are transparent and clearly separated from editorial judgment.
6. Endorsements and Public Figures
CoinCentral strictly prohibits the use of celebrity names, public figures, or company brands as implied endorsements or affiliations unless an official, verifiable partnership or agreement exists.
- Projects may not reference or use the likeness, name, or brand of any person, company, or organization to imply approval or collaboration without official proof of authorization.
- Any unauthorized use of celebrity or brand names (for example, “as seen on,” “endorsed by,” or “partnered with”) will result in immediate content rejection or removal.
- If a project legitimately partners with a public figure or brand, the relationship must be verifiable through an official statement, press release, or direct confirmation from both parties.
This ensures readers are not misled by false claims of endorsement or partnership and protects both CoinCentral’s reputation and the integrity of our platform.
7. Link Policy
All links within sponsored content:
- Are tagged as nofollow or sponsored, following Google’s linking guidelines.
- Are reviewed by our editorial team to ensure they are relevant and non-manipulative.
8. Content Removal & Compliance
CoinCentral reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove any content that violates these guidelines, Google’s spam policies, or applicable laws. We also regularly review existing content to ensure ongoing compliance and editorial integrity.
9. Our Commitment
CoinCentral was founded to educate and inform readers about blockchain and cryptocurrency in an accurate and responsible way.
We are committed to:
- Upholding transparency and accountability in all sponsorships.
- Protecting readers from misleading or deceptive marketing.
- Maintaining full compliance with Google’s Search Essentials and site reputation standards.
