London, United Kingdom — 23 October 2025 — Revolut, the global fintech serving over 65 million customers worldwide, and more than 40 million in Europe, has obtained a Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).
This authorisation enables Revolut to provide and market its comprehensive crypto-asset services across all 30 markets in the European Economic Area (EEA) under MiCA legislation.
The licence also underpins Revolut’s expansion plans and innovative advancements in the crypto sector.
Since introducing crypto trading within its app in 2017, Revolut has significantly expanded its capabilities and is set to launch ‘Crypto 2.0’ — a next-generation offering with more than 280+ tokens, staking1 with zero platform fees (and rewards of up 22% APY2), as well as 1:1 stablecoin3 conversion to USD with no spreads.

When paired with crypto-enabled Revolut Visa/Mastercard cards, seamless on/off-ramping tools, and Revolut X’s low trading fees (0.00%–0.09%), the platform delivers one of the broadest and most cost-effective crypto experiences in Europe.
Last year, Revolut successfully debuted its standalone cryptocurrency exchange, Revolut X, in the UK, before expanding it to all 30 EEA markets. The fintech has since launched mobile app support for Revolut X customers via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Revolut now attracts over 14 million crypto users globally across both Revolut X and its primary retail app.
The fintech has also seen continued success with its Revolut Ramp product, which simplifies the on-ramp process by enabling traders to purchase crypto-assets directly in their wallets through partnerships with leading industry names like MetaMask and Ledger.
Revolut is dedicated to becoming the go-to financial app for the Web3 community worldwide, offering one of the most trusted and accessible platforms for crypto trading in the UK, EEA, and beyond.
Costas Michael, CEO of Revolut Digital Assets Europe, said: “Securing the licence is a significant step in our journey, reflecting CySEC’s confidence in our commitment to regulatory compliance in crypto. It’s no secret that we have ambitious plans for the crypto sector in the future, and our MiCA license is fundamental to all of that. This authorisation enables us to deliver groundbreaking crypto products with enhanced transparency and trust for our growing customer base, while further reiterating our commitment to crypto as an asset class.”
Emil Urmanshin, Director, Crypto & New Bets, at Revolut, added: “Crypto is a big part of our belief in banking without borders, and securing our MiCA licence is a critical milestone. MiCA provides the regulatory clarity needed to build lasting trust in the market, something we fully support and are committed to leading. Our goal is to make Revolut the ultimate platform for next-generation banking, and the most trusted bridge between crypto and fiat.”
“As part of this strategy, we’re launching 1:1 conversion between stablecoins and USD, with no spreads, erasing the barriers between the two worlds. This isn’t just about access, it’s about shaping the future of digital finance, underpinned by regulation.”
