Bitcoin ended a three-year streak of red summers this year, and it continues to show strength in September – a month that has traditionally been bearish for the cryptocurrency market.
Bullish catalysts, such as anticipated interest rate cuts at the September 16-17 FOMC meeting and ongoing institutional demand, suggest that BTC is poised for a September rise – or perhaps even a new all-time high.
Excitement is also building around Bitcoin Hyper, a new Bitcoin Layer 2 blockchain designed to address issues like slow transaction speeds, high fees, and limited functionality. It’s currently in presale, and has raised $14 million so far.
With this early success, analysts are keeping a close eye on HYPER. If it maintains its initial momentum into its exchange launch, the HYPER price could skyrocket – potentially making it the best crypto to buy now.
Is Bitcoin Breaking the Red September Curse?
Only four of the last 12 Septembers have been green for Bitcoin, with an average return of -3.77%. However, the last two Septembers have seen gains – and this year’s setup indicates that the bullish trend may continue.
In September 2023, Bitcoin gained 3.91% as an SEC ruling laid the groundwork for spot Bitcoin ETFs. Then, in September 2024, Bitcoin gained 7.29% following a 50-basis-point interest rate cut in the US – the first such cut since March 2020.
And now, Bitcoin is supported by a mix of bullish catalysts, with the market pricing in a 97.4% chance of another interest rate cut at the September 16-17 FOMC meeting, and institutional demand reaching new heights.
The analyst WhaleInsider recently noted that publicly-listed companies now hold 1 million BTC for the first time ever. Meanwhile, Bitcoin ETFs are gaining momentum, with over $630 million in inflows recorded in September so far, per Farside Investors data.
Analyst Backs BTC to $140K in 2025
From a fundamental perspective, Bitcoin seems ready to extend its green September streak to three years – but what do the charts suggest, and could new highs be on the cards?
The analyst Kammran Ashgar has pointed out that Bitcoin is currently holding support above a previous resistance level at $110,000, emphasizing that “this is where the trend is confirmed.” According to Ashgar, this will trigger the next upward move, aiming for a price of $140,000 by the end of 2025.

Meanwhile, Cas Abbe noted that Bitcoin has “broken its downtrend,” and predicts a “slow move toward $114K-$115K in the coming weeks.” He highlights that September has traditionally been bearish, so he doesn’t expect a new ATH this month – though he still anticipates a positive close, potentially paving the way for an uptrend into $140,000 by year’s end.
This move would still represent a 27% increase from BTC’s current level – a solid return for less than four months, but it might be modest compared to what strong altcoins can offer. Therefore, many traders seeking to capitalize on Bitcoin’s momentum may find that Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) is a more fitting alternative.
Why Bitcoin Hyper Is the Best Way to Ride BTC’s Growth
Although Bitcoin is gaining global recognition as a store of value and a hedge against inflation, it still faces challenges such as scalability and limited functionality. It can only process around seven transactions per second, and most of its $2 trillion liquidity remains idle and locked in cold storage – even though it could earn extra yield through DeFi activities if such options were available.
This is where Bitcoin Hyper comes in. It’s a ZK-rollup-powered Bitcoin Layer 2 blockchain, built using the Solana Virtual Machine to provide scalability, interoperability, and smart contract support while preserving Bitcoin’s core decentralization and security benefits.
The project will handle transactions on a highly scalable L2 and report back to Bitcoin in batches, opening up new use cases such as DeFi, payments, and meme coins, all secured by Bitcoin’s hashrate of 1 zetahash per second.
Bitcoin Hyper’s early-stage presale offers investors a unique opportunity to participate from the beginning, which the analyst Borch Crypto says could lead to 100x returns.
If Bitcoin breaks out and reaches $140,000 this year, and Bitcoin Hyper L2 launches successfully, then 100x gains cannot be ruled out.
A 100x increase would turn every $1,000 invested in HYPER into $100,000, providing a return that could completely transform a buyer’s portfolio. Staking HYPER during the presale can also generate up to 79% APY in rewards. This is why Bitcoin Hyper might be the best way to capitalize on BTC’s growth.
