XRP has soared to $3.33 as Ripple Labs’ long-standing lawsuit against the SEC finally concludes. Trading volume jumped over 153% in the past 24 hours, while the XRP price increased 8.8%.
The resolution of its 5-year legal battle has sent shockwaves through the market, with buyers rushing to get involved, approval chances for an XRP ETF rising, and trading volume on Korean exchange Upbit soaring 1,211%.
Interest in XRP is reaching a fever pitch – so could this momentum enable a larger price rally toward $10 before 2026? Let’s take a closer look.
XRP Breaks Out on SEC Settlement, ETF Hype
The Ripple Labs-SEC lawsuit has finally come to a conclusive end, confirming what became obvious the moment Donald Trump was announced as U.S. president in November 2024. The legal clash with the SEC started in 2020 and has been a defining case in how U.S. crypto assets are classified under securities law.
After the pro-crypto SEC head Paul Atkins took over from Gary Gensler in April 2025, the SEC and Ripple Labs have worked together to dismiss the longstanding lawsuit. The two parties filed a joint stipulation with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to withdraw their cross-appeals and bring a definitive end to the legal battle.
Following the Commission's vote today, the SEC and Ripple formally filed directly with the Second Circuit to dismiss their appeals.

The settlement removes the risk of multi-year litigation drag and provides regulatory clarity for XRP, thereby increasing the chances of institutional participation in XRP and the XRP ledger. It also supports the likelihood of spot XRP ETF approvals, with bettors on the predictions market Polymarket now assigning an 87% chance of approval, up 3% from mid-July.
Meanwhile, discussions are emerging among analysts that BlackRock may now consider a spot XRP ETF filing. The firm has yet to file for spot crypto ETFs outside of Bitcoin and Ethereum, but its track record of successful applications is high: 575 approvals and only one denial. Therefore, if it applies for an XRP ETF, it’s almost certain to get the green light.
Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Store, suggested that the firm will now seek to apply. He added, “It makes zero sense for them to ignore crypto assets beyond BTC & ETH.”
Yes, I think BlackRock was waiting to see this before filing for iShares XRP ETF…
I’ll own it if I’m wrong.
IMO, makes *zero* sense for them to ignore crypto assets beyond btc & eth.
Otherwise, they’re basically saying btc & eth are only ones that will ever have value. Bold. pic.twitter.com/FtBqMRFpOl

All of this has triggered a strong 8.8% daily and 12% weekly rally, pushing XRP to $3.3, just 8.6% below its July 2025 all-time high (ATH).
How High Could XRP Go in 2025?
With legal issues resolved, the potential for BlackRock to apply for an XRP ETF, and investor sentiment soaring, it seems that everything is aligned for XRP to surge in the last months of 2025. But can it reach $10?
Geoffrey Kendrick at Standard Chartered forecasts that XRP could hit $5.5 by the end of this year, and says it could rally to $12.5 by 2028. Meanwhile, technical analysis by CoinDesk predicts an XRP price between $8 and $15 “over longer horizons,” citing “bull flag formations.”
With the lawsuit resolved, there’s a clear bullish outlook for XRP. However, its growth potential depends on the ETF approvals and institutional adoption.
In an optimistic scenario, XRP could potentially hit $8 or possibly even $10 this year, and $15 in the years ahead. However, Geoffrey Kendrick’s $5.5 target might be a more realistic and grounded estimate.
Traders aiming to maximize profits as XRP rallies are turning to smaller altcoins, with the newly launched Bitcoin Hyper attracting significant capital inflows in its presale.
Bitcoin Hyper Presale Nears $8M – Best Crypto to Buy Now?
Bitcoin Hyper is developing a Bitcoin Layer 2 blockchain that combines Bitcoin’s security with Solana’s speed and functionality.
It’s built using Solana Virtual Machine tools, leveraging Solana’s ultra-fast execution environment and programming language. The project also uses ZK-rollups to batch transactions before reporting back to the Bitcoin Layer 1, achieving high throughput without sacrificing security.
Bitcoin Hyper aims to create a new ecosystem on Bitcoin where payments, meme coins, DeFi, and even AI can thrive. It will use Bitcoin as a secure settlement layer, while Solana handles most of the computation. If successful, this could reshape the blockchain industry.
The project is generating a lot of excitement, with top analyst Jacob Bury endorsing it for 10x gains.
Its ongoing presale is rapidly approaching the $8 million raised milestone, a significant achievement reflecting strong community support.
This combination of investor interest, a solid use case, and early-stage development positions $HYPER for huge growth in the months ahead. And with the market entering another bullish phase, it might be launching at just the right time.
