Record-Breaking Financial Performance
SK Hynix’s full-year performance surpassed expectations, achieving ₩97.1 trillion in revenue and ₩47.2 trillion in operating profit. Net income for 2025 reached ₩42.9 trillion, marking a more than 100% increase from the previous year. The company’s operating margin stood at 49%, and net margin was at 44%. Compared to 2024, SK Hynix recorded a ₩30 trillion increase in revenue and doubled its profit.
The strong financial performance was driven by the surge in demand for memory solutions, particularly for high-bandwidth memory (HBM). SK Hynix’s HBM sales more than doubled, boosted by the mass production of HBM4, which began in September. The company is now the only supplier capable of shipping both HBM3E and HBM4 simultaneously, meeting the increasing demand from AI-related industries.
SK Hynix’s Expanding Product Portfolio
SK Hynix’s expansion in AI-driven memory solutions has been pivotal in the company’s growth. The company introduced its latest server DRAM products, including the 1cnm process and a new 256GB DDR5 RDIMM, aimed at hyperscale buyers. SK Hynix also responded to rising demand for NAND, launching 321-layer QLC products and capitalizing on the growing need for eSSD.
As AI firms shift from training to inference models, the demand for memory has grown significantly. This trend is expected to continue, with SK Hynix focused on meeting both performance and volume needs. The company plans to expand its AI memory portfolio with new products, including SOCAMM2 and GDDR7 for DRAM, and 321-layer NAND for storage solutions.
Investment in Future Growth and Shareholder Returns
SK Hynix is actively investing in its infrastructure to keep up with the rising demand for its products. The company is ramping up production at its M15X fab in Cheongju and constructing its first fab in the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster. SK Hynix is also expanding its packaging facilities in Cheongju and Indiana to support its global manufacturing capabilities.
In addition to its strong financial performance, SK Hynix is rewarding its shareholders with a ₩1 trillion special dividend. This brings the total year-end dividend to ₩1,875 per share, or ₩2.1 trillion in total. The company is also canceling 15.3 million treasury shares, signaling its commitment to enhancing long-term shareholder value.
