Sui (SUI) is trading near $1.01 on October 19, after recovering from its mid-2026 lows. The token remains about 80% below its January 2025 peak above $5.

Smaller cryptocurrencies have struggled since the broader market downturn. Sui has been no exception.
Several recent announcements have added to the network’s potential uses. Price action has not yet reflected them consistently.
Weekly Chart Shows Early Recovery Signals
The weekly chart shows SUI consolidating for much of 2026 after a long decline from its 2025 highs. A recent push toward $1.25–$1.30 met selling pressure, which pulled price back to the $1 level.

The weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) reads 51.04, just above the neutral 50 line. It has dropped from higher readings, which suggests buying pressure has cooled.
The MACD looks a bit better. The MACD line has crossed above its signal line and the histogram has turned positive, though both lines are still below zero.
Resistance sits at $1.20–$1.35, where earlier rallies stalled. A move above that zone could bring $1.50 into view, followed by $1.80–$2.00.
Support starts at $1, then the $0.80–$0.90 zone. A loss of those levels could open a drop toward $0.60–$0.70.
Sui Community, the project’s official X account, posted that SUI “could rocket from $1 to $15,” pointing to the weekly chart. It listed ladder targets of $2.86, $5.36 and $14, which would be a gain of about 2,003% if the weekly signal holds.
$SUI could rocket from $1 to $15 – sounds crazy, but the weekly chart tells a different story 🚀
The price ladder targets are
→ $2.86
→ $5.36
→ $14, a potential +2,003% move 📈If the weekly signal holds, we could be on the brink of a wild ride! 😜

On-chain data is mixed. DefiLlama reports about $492 million in DeFi total value locked and $503 million in stablecoin market cap. Weekly decentralized exchange volume is around $262 million.
Stablecoin supply rose about 5.6% over the past week. Higher network activity does not always lift token demand, especially when fees stay low.
Partnerships Could Shape the Outlook
On October 8, Samsung announced plans to bring USDC on Sui to Samsung Wallet. That could open stablecoin transfers to 82 million eligible Galaxy devices in the United States.
Sui also said its Hashi Bitcoin finance platform will begin launching in October. It has more than $500 million in committed capital, with backers including Anchorage Digital.
On October 12, Sui announced a partnership with DATA Network. It brings AI training data infrastructure and the Trace registry to the ecosystem.
PrimeXBT’s August 2026 forecast projects SUI between $0.864 and $1.661 in 2027, averaging about $1.207. The bullish case of $2–$3 would require breaks above several resistance levels and absorbing future token unlocks. The base case is $1.20–$1.80, and the bearish case is $0.60–$0.90.
A sustained move above $1.35 would give stronger evidence of a bullish reversal.
Chart analysis: Honestly, this chart looks like a coin catching its breath. Price rejected the $1.25–$1.30 area, and now we’re sitting right on the $1 line. RSI is flat around 51, so bulls haven’t taken over yet. MACD is curling up under the zero line, which is early, not confirmed.
The weekly volume has also faded since the spike on the bounce. Watch whether the weekly candle closes above $1 and holds. If it does, $1.20–$1.35 is the next test, and a close below $1 puts $0.80–$0.90 back in play.
