Swedish freight technology company Einride saw its stock jump more than 18% in premarket trading on Tuesday after announcing what it called the world’s largest Tesla Semi deployment.
The company plans to add 500 Tesla Semi trucks to its fleet over the next 24 months. The deal will triple its current fleet size, growing from around 250 vehicles to roughly 750.
The trucks will be fully financed by third parties. Einride said the deployment supports its efforts to convert around $800 million in potential long-term annual recurring revenue into active freight capacity.

The Tesla Semi trucks will haul freight for Amazon across freight corridors in California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Georgia. The routes are part of Amazon’s middle-mile network, meaning the trucks are not driving cross-country.
Electric semi trucks face real challenges in the transport industry. Batteries are heavier than fuel tanks, which can reduce towing capacity. Charging infrastructure is also a concern for long-haul routes.
The Tesla Semi can travel up to 500 miles on a single charge and can recharge from 0% to 60% in about 30 minutes. For shorter, middle-mile routes like those Einride operates, the economics of electric trucks tend to work better.
Einride’s Financial Results
Einride also released its first financial results since going public in June 2026. First-half revenue came in at $27 million, up 26% year over year on a constant-currency basis.
The growth was driven by higher customer volumes and fleet deployments. However, net loss widened to SEK 1.12 billion, or around $117 million, largely due to one-time costs tied to its Nasdaq listing.
The company listed on Nasdaq in June 2026 through a merger with SPAC Legato Merger Corp. III. Einride does not have analyst coverage, so there are no Wall Street estimates to compare results against.
For the second half of 2026, Einride expects its revenue growth rate to more than double. It expects growth of 60% to 75% year over year as more Amazon business comes online in the U.S. and Europe.
Tesla’s Role in the Deal
Tesla Semi mass production began this year, with Tesla aiming to eventually build 50,000 trucks annually at its Nevada plant. The truck was first introduced back in November 2017.
Tesla stock was down around 1% in premarket trading on Tuesday. Investors are currently more focused on Tesla’s artificial intelligence opportunities, including robotaxis and humanoid robots, according to Baird analyst Ben Kallo.
Einride shares were down 43% for the year coming into Tuesday’s session, leaving the company with a market value of under $1 billion.
The company is small, but this deal gives it a clear growth path tied to one of the most watched electric vehicle platforms in the world.
