TRON founder Justin Sun has placed quantum security at the center of the network’s 2026 roadmap. The plan targets a testnet launch in Q2 and a mainnet rollout in Q3. The move gives TRON a clear position in the race for post-quantum blockchain protection.
TRON Targets Quantum-Resistant Security In 2026
Sun said TRON will begin testing quantum-resistant infrastructure in the second quarter of 2026. The network then plans to move the upgrade to mainnet in the third quarter. He linked the timeline to rising security needs across blockchain and AI systems.
The plan focuses on future risks from quantum computing and advanced decryption methods. Although current quantum machines cannot break most blockchain systems at scale, research continues across the industry. As a result, major networks now prepare for stronger cryptographic standards.

AI Growth Raises New Security Questions
