TLDR
- Ondo Finance launched Ondo Network, a new execution layer replacing Ondo Chain
- The network separates execution, validation, and settlement for faster, private trading
- Ondo Perps is the first live app, offering 24/7 stock and commodity perpetual futures
- Asset transfers currently settle on Ethereum; more blockchains are planned
- The ONDO token remains the governance and incentive token; no role change announced
Ondo Finance has launched Ondo Network, a new execution layer built to combine centralized exchange-like speed with non-custodial, onchain settlement. CEO Ian De Bode announced it publicly for the first time this week.
Introducing the Ondo Network, the execution layer for open financial markets, and the evolution of our vision for Ondo Chain.
Fast and private like a CEX. Verifiable like a blockchain. Non-custodial in design.

De Bode described the Ondo Network as the “evolution” of Ondo Chain, the company’s previous blockchain project. He confirmed Ondo will not run both networks at the same time.
The company originally planned to build a full blockchain through Ondo Chain to bring real-world assets onchain. After building Ondo Perps and talking with users, Ondo concluded that trade execution — not settlement — was the main bottleneck.
Traditional blockchains handle execution, verification, and settlement on the same ledger. Ondo Network separates those three functions, using secure hardware enclaves for private and fast execution.
A decentralized network of attestors determines which code the enclaves are allowed to run. Asset transfers currently settle on Ethereum, with support for more public blockchains planned.
De Bode said the network supports “privacy by default, execution speed that can rival centralized exchanges, while still maintaining self-custodial design, verifiable fairness and permissionless access.”
Ondo Perps Launches First
Ondo Perps is the first application live on the network. It offers 24/7 perpetual futures contracts tied to equities and commodities, with tokenized real-world assets accepted as collateral.
Ondo said the network is general-purpose. It can support spot markets, lending, structured products, and non-financial applications that need fast, private, and verifiable execution.
Settlement can happen in fiat or supported stablecoins, including directly between blockchain wallets.
Oasis Pro Expands U.S. Market Access
Oasis Pro Markets, Ondo’s registered transfer agent, received new authorizations to offer U.S. investors access to NMS equities, ETFs, mutual funds, index funds, and IPO securities.
Oasis Pro mints the tokens on Ethereum, backed by real shares held by regulated custodians.
The ONDO token’s role has not changed. De Bode said it remains the governance and ecosystem token. As the network decentralizes further, ONDO will sit at the center of incentives and governance for that layer.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel posted on X that ONDO respected a breakout retest at their $0.37 entry and rallied to $0.419 — a gain of nearly 12% in a few hours. Patel said they are still targeting $0.665 as long as the bullish structure holds.
$ONDO Update: Trade Playing Out Perfectly.$ONDO respected the breakout retest exactly as planned and rallied to $0.419 from our $0.37 entry.
That's nearly 12% profit in just a few hours. ✅As long as the bullish structure remains intact, I'm still targeting $0.665.
