SEALSQ Corp (LAES) stock fell 0.85% to $2.3399 after shares retreated steadily from early session highs on Friday. The decline followed Miraex’s commercial technology launch, which broadens SEALSQ’s expanding quantum infrastructure strategy across several important business markets. The rollout shifts the acquired Swiss platform from research development toward deployment across communications, computing, sensing, and space applications.
Miraex Acquisition Strengthens SEALSQ Quantum Platform
SEALSQ completed its full acquisition of Miraex SA on June 2, 2026, after securing complete ownership of the Swiss specialist. The company financed the transaction through its $200 million Quantum Fund, created to support investments across advanced quantum technology markets. Miraex now anchors SEALSQ’s quantum photonics operations from the EPFL Innovation Park in Ecublens, Switzerland, under corporate control.
The Quantum Fund has already deployed more than $65 million across selected quantum technologies, companies, and supporting infrastructure projects worldwide. Through Miraex, SEALSQ controls a photonic interconnect platform designed to connect quantum processors with long-distance optical communication systems efficiently. This capability strengthens the company’s plan for a sovereign stack covering hardware, encryption, networking, computing, communications, and digital services.
SEALSQ already develops secure semiconductors, post-quantum cryptography, trusted computing systems, and advanced quantum networking technology for commercial and government customers. Miraex adds the interconnect layer required to move quantum information between separate processors, data centers, satellites, and communication networks securely. Therefore, the acquisition expands SEALSQ’s position across cybersecurity, telecoms, cloud computing, defense, critical infrastructure and secure space communication services.
Commercial Rollout Targets Four Quantum Markets
Miraex developed a Thin Film Lithium Tantalate Photonic Integrated Circuit platform for quantum signal conversion and reliable system connectivity. The platform converts information between processor microwave frequencies and optical frequencies used across secure communication networks and satellite links. This conversion supports modular quantum computing, where separate processors combine capacity through secure, efficient, and scalable photonic interconnections across locations.
SEALSQ will target distributed quantum computing, quantum networking, quantum sensing, and orbital communication infrastructure during the initial commercial rollout phase. Distributed systems can connect smaller processors into larger computing platforms, increasing available capacity without relying on one centralized quantum machine. Quantum networks can support secure optical links, key distribution systems, protected transfers, and future internet infrastructure.
Quantum sensing can support navigation, defense systems, industrial monitoring, and critical infrastructure operations without depending on conventional GPS signals. The orbital segment targets radiation-tolerant photonic systems for satellites, secure communications, infrastructure, and space-based quantum networks. SEALSQ also plans partnerships with governments, telecom operators, cloud providers, laboratories, defense groups, and industrial companies seeking scalable quantum infrastructure.
