Datavault AI expands secure data platform with post-quantum security tools
Datavault AI stock fell 1.69% to $0.3185 on Friday after reversing earlier gains during afternoon trading. The decline followed Datavault AI’s announcement of a $94.5 million cash acquisition of CyberCatch Holdings. The deal expands the company’s cybersecurity capabilities while adding continuous compliance and cyber risk technology.
Datavault AI Stock Falls After CyberCatch Deal
Datavault AI agreed to acquire all outstanding CyberCatch shares through a court-approved arrangement under British Columbia law. The company will purchase approximately 26.8 million outstanding shares under the definitive agreement. Datavault AI will also settle CyberCatch’s remaining dilutive securities through a cashless exercise structure.
The transaction requires standard board, stock exchange, regulatory, and shareholder approvals before completion. Following closing, CyberCatch will operate as a Datavault AI subsidiary based in San Diego, California. CyberCatch founder Sai Huda will lead the subsidiary as president and report to Datavault AI CEO Nathaniel Bradley.
Meanwhile, the shares reversed their earlier advance during afternoon trading following the acquisition announcement. The transaction represents a major expansion of Datavault AI’s broader data infrastructure and cybersecurity strategy. It also adds an established security platform to the company’s growing technology operations.
CyberCatch Expands Datavault AI Security Platform
CyberCatch provides continuous cybersecurity compliance, penetration testing, and cyber risk assessment through automated software tools. Its system checks required security controls and identifies weaknesses before threat actors can exploit network vulnerabilities. The platform also measures cyber hygiene and breach risks across regulated business environments.
CyberCatch supports security frameworks covering defense, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, education, and other regulated industries. These frameworks include NIST standards, CMMC, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and several international requirements. The platform continuously tests organizations from external, internal, and social engineering perspectives.
Datavault AI plans to integrate CyberCatch across its existing data, computing, and secure network infrastructure. The technology will support DataValue, DataScore, and Information Data Exchange operations after the transaction closes. CyberCatch will also provide continuous security compliance across workloads serving government and regulated commercial customers.
Acquisition Targets Growing Cybersecurity Demand
The acquisition gives Datavault AI greater exposure to a global cybersecurity market experiencing strong spending growth. Gartner projected worldwide information security spending would reach $213 billion during 2025. Rising attack speeds and automated cyber threats have increased demand for continuous testing and faster risk detection.
CyberCatch has also developed encryption technology designed for emerging post-quantum security requirements. Its MARS-MABE system controls data access through specific user attributes and supports rapid access revocation. The company plans to strengthen the technology against security threats arising from future quantum computing developments.
Datavault AI expects CyberCatch to provide a security layer across its expanding technology portfolio. The combination links secure computing, data analytics, cybersecurity testing, and compliance functions within one operating structure. The acquisition therefore broadens Datavault AI’s push into secure data infrastructure and regulated industry applications.
