The company added 9,926 ETH during the past week, extending purchases that began with its 2025 treasury strategy. Bitmine now controls about 5.82 million ETH, representing roughly 4.8% of Ethereum’s current total supply.

BMNR Stock Rises as Bitmine Expands Crypto Treasury
Bitmine reported total crypto, cash, securities, and strategic holdings worth approximately $11.4 billion. The company holds $78 million in cash and marketable securities alongside its cryptocurrency assets. Meanwhile, BMNR shares gained early momentum following the latest update on its treasury expansion.
The company also continued its aggressive share repurchase program during the past week. Bitmine repurchased 1.7 million common shares, bringing cumulative purchases above 20.8 million shares since July. The purchases operate under the company’s previously announced $4 billion share repurchase authorization.
Bitmine also gained broader stock market exposure after joining the Russell 1000 Large-Cap Index in June. The index added the company on June 26, increasing its presence across institutional portfolios. Meanwhile, Bitmine’s Series A preferred stock continues trading on the New York Stock Exchange under BMNP.
Ethereum Holdings Reach 5.82 Million ETH
Bitmine currently owns 5,815,164 ETH valued using an Ethereum price of $1,893. Those holdings represent approximately 4.8% of Ethereum’s estimated 120.7 million circulating coin supply. Therefore, the company has moved near its stated goal of controlling 5% of Ethereum’s supply.
The company has accumulated ETH every week since launching its Ethereum Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025. Bitmine added another 9,926 ETH during the latest reported week, maintaining that consistent acquisition strategy. Consequently, the company reached about 96% of its targeted 5% Ethereum ownership level within 14 months.
Bitmine has also placed most of its Ethereum treasury into staking infrastructure. The company reported 5,067,309 staked ETH as of August 16, valued near $9.6 billion. That amount represents approximately 87% of Bitmine’s total Ethereum holdings and supports recurring staking revenue.
Bitcoin and Strategic Holdings Support Bitmine Assets
Bitmine also holds 210 Bitcoin alongside its much larger Ethereum position. However, Ethereum remains the company’s primary digital asset and defines its current treasury strategy. Bitmine ranks as the largest publicly disclosed Ethereum treasury while remaining behind Strategy among major crypto treasury companies.
The company also owns strategic equity positions outside its main cryptocurrency holdings. Bitmine reported a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $73 million position in Eightco Holdings. These investments form part of the company’s reported strategic holdings alongside cash and digital assets.
Bitmine has expanded MAVAN, its Made in America Validator Network, to support Ethereum staking operations. The platform initially served Bitmine’s treasury but targets institutional investors, custodians, and other Ethereum ecosystem participants. Bitmine projects about $250 million in annualized staking revenue as more of its ETH enters staking.
