- Users no longer need to withdraw funds before paying on Mesh-connected platforms
- Businesses using Mesh can add Bybit Pay through their existing setup, no separate connection needed
- Mesh’s network covers more than 300 wallets, exchanges, and financial platforms
- Mesh raised $75 million in January at a $1 billion valuation, with a reported Binance-led round at $2 billion in talks
Bybit Pay, the payments arm of crypto exchange Bybit, has partnered with crypto payments infrastructure provider Mesh. The integration lets Bybit users spend digital assets held in their exchange accounts directly on supported platforms.
Digital assets, made easier to spend 🤝
Bybit Pay is partnering with Mesh to connect Bybit’s 80M+ users with Mesh-powered platforms. Users can pay directly from their Bybit balance, while businesses gain access to Bybit’s global user base.

Before this, users had to withdraw funds, convert assets manually, or transfer to another wallet before paying. That extra step is now removed.
How the Integration Works
When a Mesh-powered platform displays Bybit Pay as a checkout option, users can select it and pay from their existing Bybit balance. No withdrawal is needed first.
For businesses, there is no separate technical setup required. Any company already connected to Mesh can switch on Bybit Pay through their current integration.
Bybit said merchants can also control when and how payments settle across different markets, using Mesh’s programmable settlement tools. A customer can pay in one asset while the merchant receives a different one, such as a stablecoin or fiat currency.
The announcement did not list which cryptocurrencies are supported, what fees apply, or which regions are covered. Merchants must also choose to activate Bybit Pay before their customers can use it.
About Mesh’s Network
Mesh operates infrastructure that connects wallets, crypto exchanges, and financial apps. Its network currently links more than 300 platforms.
The company was founded under the name Front Finance and has raised more than $200 million in total funding. Its January Series C round of $75 million was led by Dragonfly Capital, with Coinbase Ventures, PayPal Ventures, and others also participating.
In July, Axios reported that Binance was in talks to lead a new Mesh funding round at a valuation of up to $2 billion. Neither company has formally confirmed the deal.
Mesh has also expanded into government payments. In May, Bermuda adopted Stellar rails for government transactions through a Mesh integration.
Bybit described its user base as 80 million customers, though the figure was not independently verified.
US Users Should Note Tax Rules
It is unclear whether Bybit Pay through Mesh will be available to US customers. Bybit called it a global integration but gave no detail on US access.
For Americans who can use crypto payment services, each transaction may trigger a federal tax obligation. The IRS treats digital assets as property, meaning spending crypto counts as a disposal event.
Users must calculate capital gains or losses based on the asset’s cost basis and its value at the time of the transaction. Records must include the asset type, amount, dollar value, and transaction time.
Broker reporting rules also apply. Gross-proceeds reporting for covered transactions began on January 1, 2025, and basis reporting started on January 1, 2026.
Bybit Pay is now available to Mesh-connected businesses as of September 3, 2026.
