Apollo Go Expands While Baidu Advances Hong Kong Listing
Baidu continued expanding Apollo Go into several international markets during the second quarter and subsequent weeks. The robotaxi operation conducted testing in London and Switzerland while launching fully driverless commercial operations in Dubai. Apollo Go also received permits for fully driverless testing in Hong Kong during its international expansion.
The service has now reached 28 cities and accumulated more than 350 million autonomous kilometres worldwide. Fully driverless operations accounted for over 240 million kilometres across Baidu’s expanding autonomous mobility network. Baidu also agreed with Turlov Private Holding to explore autonomous ride-hailing services in Kazakhstan.
Baidu continued preparations to convert its Hong Kong presence into a dual-primary listing during 2026. The company scheduled an extraordinary shareholder meeting for August 26 to seek approval for the proposed conversion.
