Bitcoin traded just under $80,000 during Asian hours on Friday after touching $81,280 overnight. The move came alongside eight straight days of inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, totaling $2.8 billion. August has now seen over $3 billion in ETF inflows, making it the strongest month of 2026 so far.

Solana was the standout performer among major cryptocurrencies, rising more than 4% on the day to just under $101. Over the past seven days, Solana is up 20%. Ether climbed just over 1% to around $2,492, XRP gained nearly 2% to about $1.43, and BNB rose over 1% to near $714.
Dogecoin was flat near 9 cents, while HYPE was the only major token in the red, dropping under 1% to around $82.
Ethena Leads the Top 100
Ethena’s ENA token led the top 100 cryptocurrencies, up 6% on the day and 45% on the week. The gains followed a governance vote to route protocol revenue into buybacks and restructure venture token unlocks.
On the macro side, Brent crude eased to just under $90 a barrel, down more than 5% on the week. The drop came after Iran and Oman agreed on terms for administering the Strait of Hormuz, removing a potential energy-driven inflation shock from the table.
The 10-year Treasury yield held at 4.67%, down seven basis points on the week. The dollar index sat just above 99, and gold slipped to $4,587 an ounce.
Nvidia Powers Nasdaq Higher
Nvidia reported quarterly revenue of $96.2 billion and issued a third-quarter forecast above $105 billion. The results drove a 9% surge in the stock, adding $442 billion in market value in a single session.
The Nasdaq rose 1.6% on the day, the S&P 500 gained 0.7%, and the Dow added 0.2%. Tech was the only major S&P 500 sector that rallied.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Nvidia had paused some deals in a financing initiative that offered credit support to AI cloud providers in exchange for a share of revenue.
Salesforce results also helped lift software stocks, giving the tech sector a broad boost on the day.
Markets are now focused on Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s first Jackson Hole keynote, scheduled for later Friday. Warsh has given few clues on his rate outlook, and traders are watching closely for signals ahead of the September 16 FOMC meeting.
Futures currently price a 35% chance of a rate increase in September and fully price a move by December.
