MoneyGram has launched MoneyGram Ramps on Solana, extending its global cash and digital payments network across another major blockchain ecosystem. The rollout gives Solana wallets, exchanges, and developers direct access to fiat on-ramps and off-ramps through established payments infrastructure. Rift became the first Solana wallet to integrate the service, expanding access between crypto assets and local currencies across markets.
Solana Adds MoneyGram Ramps Access
The Solana launch expands MoneyGram Ramps beyond a single blockchain and supports the company’s multichain payments strategy in digital markets. Developers can now connect applications to cash deposits, withdrawals, stablecoins, and digital assets without building banking connections for each region. The company says the service simplifies fiat access while supporting compliant transactions across wallets, exchanges, and blockchain-based financial products worldwide.
MoneyGram Ramps supports cash deposits in more than 25 countries and withdrawals across more than 170 countries and territories worldwide. The service uses one API, allowing developers to add cash-to-crypto and crypto-to-cash functions through a single technical integration for applications. MoneyGram also provides sandbox access, API credentials, software tools, documentation, and onboarding resources for developers building applications on Solana.
The Solana Developer Platform has also added MoneyGram Ramps to its payments module for developers building payment-focused blockchain applications. That integration gives builders another route to connect blockchain products with physical cash networks and local currency access across markets. The move also strengthens Solana’s payments infrastructure as more applications seek practical links between digital assets and traditional financial systems.
Rift Becomes First Solana Wallet Integration
Rift became the first Solana wallet to activate MoneyGram Ramps, giving users access to cash conversion services through one interface. The integration allows Rift users to move between supported digital assets and local currencies through MoneyGram’s extensive global retail network. Rift also combines trading access with real-time market data across crypto, equities, commodities, and foreign exchange products for users.
The wallet’s integration shows how MoneyGram plans to distribute Ramps through consumer applications rather than standalone payment services across platforms. That approach lets wallets embed fiat access directly inside existing user experiences while reducing separate payment steps for customers. The company can also extend its infrastructure to more platforms as Solana developers adopt the same integrated payments tools.
MoneyGram operates a global payments network that connects retail locations, wallets, bank accounts, and cards across many international markets. Its blockchain strategy now focuses on linking that established network with stablecoins, wallets, exchanges, and on-chain applications across multiple ecosystems. The Solana launch adds another distribution channel while Rift provides the first live example of the company’s wider multichain expansion.
