SOL Breaks $100 for First Time Since February
Solana gained around 40% over eight days, crossing $100 for the first time since February. The token hit an intraday high of $102.88 before pulling back toward $88. Buyers stepped in and pushed the price back into the mid-$90s.

A key catalyst came on Aug. 19 when the U.S. Treasury announced it would at least double the size of liquidity-support buybacks for long-dated bonds, raising the maximum from $2 billion to $4 billion per operation starting Sept. 9.
The 30-year Treasury yield dropped from a 19-year high of 5.34% to around 5.19% following the announcement. That eased pressure on risk assets and helped drive one of crypto’s strongest single-day rallies since March.
Financial analyst account The Kobeissi Letter highlighted the record transaction data on X, noting that crypto markets have added $580 billion in total market cap since Aug. 16. They also pointed to Jupiter’s dominant role in Solana’s DEX ecosystem as a driver of onchain activity.
SOL remains well below its January 2025 all-time high near $295. U.S. spot Solana ETFs, which launched in late 2025, had attracted over $1.12 billion in cumulative inflows by May 2026.
