XRP Outflows Accelerate Across Major Exchanges
Binance recorded the largest withdrawals, while Coinbase, Upbit, Bybit and Bitget also saw heavy activity. The movement suggests large holders transferred tokens away from trading venues, although exchange withdrawals do not confirm future buying or selling decisions.
Amr Taha reported that Binance XRP reserves rose from about 2.60 billion to 2.70 billion tokens between September 13 and 27. Reserves then dropped to 2.647 billion by September 30, removing roughly 57 million XRP in three days.
CryptoOnChain reported Binance XRP open interest fell 15.3% from a six-month high of $616.1 million to $521.5 million on September 29. Long liquidations also averaged $3.72 million daily from September 24 through 29.
Funding rates fell from 0.010 to 0.005 during the same period. Meanwhile, XRP ETFs recorded cumulative inflows near $1.79 billion, adding another market factor as traders reduced leveraged exposure.
XRP Price Holds Near $1.50
XRP traded near $1.50 at the time of reporting, up about 1% over 24 hours. The token gained roughly 16% over two weeks but remained down more than 47% over the past year.
Market participation also remained broad. Recent data showed XRP holder addresses climbed to 8.15 million, while exchange balances and futures positions moved in different directions.
XRP ended September with a third straight monthly gain, adding about 8%. Spot XRP ETFs attracted more than $121 million during the month, taking cumulative net inflows close to $1.8 billion.
The token also entered October after its strongest third quarter in four years. However, October has produced mixed results historically, with only five of the past 13 Octobers ending higher.
XRP gained 16.5% in October 2023 before falling 16.7% in October 2024 and nearly 12% last year. Current XRP outflows, lower leverage and ETF demand now provide fresh data points as October trading begins. Analysts continue watching exchange reserves and derivatives data for changes in supply and trader positioning.
