Jane Street Group increased its Bitwise XRP ETF holdings to 1,205,067 common shares during the second quarter of 2026. The position carried a value of approximately $14.05 million on June 30.
Bitwise XRP ETF Holdings Rise
Jane Street disclosed the position in its August 14 Form 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. That date marks the submission, while the figures describe holdings at June’s close.
The common share count rose roughly 5,733% from about 20,600 shares in the previous quarter. Jane Street also reported call options covering 15,100 underlying shares, with a reported underlying value near $176,000. The options entry describes the value of the underlying shares, rather than the amount paid for those contracts.
Separately, September 24 coverage detailed rising XRP ETF inflows, including $19.16 million into Bitwise on September 22. Those later flows describe fund activity, rather than changes in Jane Street’s holdings.
Fund Assets and Institutional Positions
Jane Street ranked second among reported institutional holders of the fund in the latest ownership data. Goldman Sachs led with approximately 2.21 million shares worth $25.76 million at the quarter’s close.
The Bitwise XRP ETF launched in November 2025 and trades on NYSE Arca under XRP. It holds spot XRP and charges a 0.34% management fee, providing price exposure through exchange-traded shares.
A September 26 report described fresh daily inflows of $22.65 million across U.S. spot XRP ETFs on September 25. Bitwise attracted $18.39 million, while Franklin Templeton received the remaining $4.26 million.
Quarterly Filings Have Limits
Bitwise reported approximately $616.4 million in assets and 36.99 million shares outstanding by September 27. Jane Street’s June holdings equal about 3.3% of that later share count. However, the dates differ, and the filing does not confirm its current ownership.
September 29 coverage reported weekly XRP ETF inflows of about $75.59 million for September 21–25. Bitwise contributed roughly $58.99 million to that total. These figures track money entering the funds, not individual institutions’ trading decisions.
Jane Street operates as a trading and market-making firm. Its filing reports certain long positions but omits a complete view of shorts and hedges. The disclosure therefore does not establish a bullish XRP strategy or reveal transactions after June 30. It also does not explain why the firm increased its common shares during the quarter.
