TLDR
- Trust Wallet has integrated Binance x402 into AgentKit for autonomous AI agent payments.
- The integration allows AI agents to pay for digital services directly on BNB Chain.
- Binance x402 embeds payment authorization into HTTP requests for smoother machine-to-machine transactions.
- Trust Wallet said the setup keeps payments self-custodial because private keys stay on the user’s device.
- The update expands AgentKit by enabling developers to build agents that can pay for APIs, data feeds, and subscriptions.
Trust Wallet has integrated Binance x402 into AgentKit to support autonomous AI agent payments on BNB Chain. The update lets developers build agents that pay for digital services through HTTP-native blockchain transactions. Binance x402 allows payments to settle on-chain while users keep funds in self-custody until settlement.
Binance x402 Adds Payment Rail for AI Agents
The integration connects Trust Wallet’s AgentKit with Binance x402, a payment protocol built for BNB Chain. Together, they enable machine-to-machine payments for digital services.
Trust Wallet said AgentKit already supports blockchain actions such as reading on-chain data and executing swaps. With Binance x402, it now adds native payment functionality for agents.
The new setup targets a problem in crypto payments for automated systems. Most existing flows require repeated wallet connections, approvals, and manual confirmations.
That process works for human users, but it slows software agents. It also limits agents that need frequent micropayments for APIs and data services.
Binance x402 embeds payment logic into HTTP requests, which are widely used across the web. As a result, payments can occur during a service request.
Under that model, a merchant sets a price and the agent submits payment authorization. The transaction then settles on-chain through the protocol.
The system supports direct token transfers from buyer to merchant. Merchants therefore do not need separate settlement tools or custom wallet infrastructure.
Supported stablecoins on BNB Chain include USDT, USDC, USD1, and U. Those assets can be used for digital payments under the x402 model.
Self-Custody Design Expands Trust Wallet AgentKit Use Cases
Trust Wallet said the integration keeps the payment flow self-custodial. Private keys remain on the user’s device during payment authorization.
The system uses standards such as EIP-3009 and Permit2 for off-chain signatures. Those signatures authorize on-chain transfers without exposing private keys.
That structure allows an AI agent to approve payments through cryptographic signing. However, the wallet remains under the user’s direct control.
Before this update, developers could use AgentKit for blockchain interaction and portfolio actions. They could not natively automate payments for external digital services.
The Binance x402 integration expands those use cases for developers building crypto-based AI tools. Agents can now pay for API calls, subscriptions, and data feeds.
The payment model also reduces reliance on custodial accounts for automated services. Developers therefore do not need users to pre-fund a separate platform wallet. Trust Wallet framed the integration as a way to keep funds in self-custody until settlement. The latest update adds autonomous payment support to AgentKit on BNB Chain.
