The five-day inflow streak totals more than $600 million — the most sustained institutional buying since mid-July, reversing an eight-week outflow run that stretched through late June.
The crypto market cap rose 1.56% within 24 hours to $2.24 trillion.
Bitcoin derivatives activity picked up sharply. Trading volume jumped 95% to $59.67 billion. Open interest climbed 2.36% to $49.07 billion. Options volume surged 138% to $3.25 billion, with options open interest up 1.86% to $32.67 billion.
On the four-hour chart, BTC traded between $65,140 and $65,623. The MACD showed bullish momentum and the RSI sat at 62, below overbought territory. A clean break above $66,000 could open the path toward $67,000 and then $68,000. A drop below $65,000 support could bring $64,000 back into view.
CLARITY Act Progress Lifts Sentiment
Investor confidence also got a boost from Washington. President Trump agreed to an ethics clause connected to the CLARITY Act — a bill that would divide digital asset regulation between the SEC and CFTC. An industry source told The Block the agreement was reached Monday evening after months of stalled talks. Congress needs to act before early August recess.

The chip sector rebound added fuel to the broader risk rally. MSCI’s Asia Pacific gauge climbed 2%. South Korea and Taiwan markets rose ~4% each. Japan’s Nikkei gained 3%. A tech-heavy mainland China index jumped nearly 7% as state-linked buyers stepped in.
Oil pulled back, with Brent falling 1% to $88.58 after Iran indicated mediators were circulating proposals to ease hostilities.
Jeff Mei, COO at BTSE, noted: “Current bitcoin and ether prices are low but fair, given the macro uncertainties pervading markets.” He added that traders are watching the Fed’s July 28–29 meeting, with a July rate hike priced at just 15% odds.
Analyst Michaël van de Poppe (@CryptoMichNL) shared his view that Bitcoin could rally toward $80,000–$85,000 over the next two to three months, which he says would coincide with the 50-week moving average — a level he identifies as typical resistance in the early stage of a post-bear-market recovery.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a rally of #Bitcoin towards $80,000-85,000 from here.
That would coincide with the 50-Week MA, and that's usually the resistance point of the first rally after the bear market has ended.
I expect this to happen over the next 2-3 months. pic.twitter.com/dAEKDV7chV
