Samsara posted strong fiscal second-quarter results Thursday after the bell, sending IOT stock up 14.4% on Friday to around $44.33. The stock had already gained 5.3% on Thursday, closing at $38.75 ahead of the report.
Q2 revenue came in at $508.4 million, up 30% year over year and well ahead of the $483 million analyst consensus. Adjusted earnings per share of 20 cents beat the 16 cents Wall Street had penciled in.
It was also Samsara’s fourth straight quarter of GAAP profit, a milestone worth noting for a company that was burning cash not long ago.
Annual recurring revenue reached $2.125 billion, up 30%. Net new ARR was $134 million, up 28%.

Samsara added a record 242 customers with more than $100,000 in ARR during the quarter. It also added 20 customers generating more than $1 million in ARR.
ARR from customers above the $1 million mark topped $500 million. That figure has grown more than 50% year over year for three straight quarters.
Customers Going Deeper on the Platform
Among customers with more than $100,000 in ARR, 96% use at least two Samsara products and 72% use at least three. The company says large customers are shifting from single use cases to wider deployments across teams and operations.
“What begins with one use case often grows into the platform they rely on across assets, teams, and workflows,” said Amit Vyas, Samsara’s chief revenue officer.
Over the past year, customers digitized 340 million workflows and logged 105 billion miles on Samsara. The company also collected more than 30 trillion data points, up more than 40% from the prior year.
Emerging products contributed more than 20% of net new annual contract value for the third straight quarter.
New AI Tools Added
Samsara launched several new AI products during the quarter. These include a Bluetooth tracking label, an AI shipment center, and AI agents for safety, maintenance and dispatch.
New camera tools cover rear collision alerts, blind-spot warnings and a 360-degree vehicle view. Customer use of some newer AI features rose more than fourfold over the past two months.
Samsara said the volume of data it collects gives its AI more context, which it says leads to better results.
On the outlook, the company raised its full-year revenue guidance to $2.043 billion-$2.047 billion, up from the prior range of $2.005 billion-$2.013 billion. Full-year adjusted EPS guidance was lifted to 76-78 cents, from 70-72 cents.
Wall Street rates IOT as a Strong Buy, based on 12 Buy and four Hold ratings over the past three months.
The average price target is $52.73, which implies about 36% upside from current levels. Several analysts have already raised their price targets following the report.
IOT stock is up 9.31% year to date but remains down 7.94% over the past 12 months.
