Strive (ASST) stock fell 9% to close at $26.32 on Monday. Analysts were upbeat. The stock was not.
StoneX raised its price target to $43 from $32, a 34% increase. It kept its Buy rating in place.
The new target sits 63% above Monday’s close. Senior Equity Research Analyst Mark Palmer published the note on Monday.
A “Clean Reset” for the Capital Structure
Palmer pointed to two events from last week. Strive closed an upsized initial public offering of its SATS preferred stock, and its traditional warrants expired.
He called the pair a “clean reset” of the capital structure. He said it underlines the company’s all-preferred bitcoin treasury model.
The SATS offering raised $630 million in gross proceeds. It closed on Oct. 20 and covered 7 million units of the 15% preferred stock.
SATS pays a 15% annual dividend. Strive has set aside enough cash to cover the first 18 months of payments.
Palmer said the company spent the past year showing it can fund bitcoin buys with perpetual preferred equity. He said the SATA preferreds did the heavy lifting.
Now Strive can run two preferreds side by side. Palmer said each is built for a different kind of income investor.
He added that SATA holders should see SATS as a positive. SATS ranks below SATA in priority, so every dollar raised adds assets without adding claims ahead of the senior preferreds.
New $1 Billion Offering Program
Strive also entered a sales agreement to sell up to $1 billion of SATS preferred stock. The at-the-market program will run through sales agents.
The company plans to use proceeds for general corporate purposes. That includes bitcoin and bitcoin-related product purchases, working capital and income-generating assets.
Other possible uses include capital expenditures, buybacks of Class A common stock or Variable Rate Series A preferred, acquisitions, preferred dividends and debt repayment.
The offering falls under a prospectus supplement filed with the SEC. It uses an automatic shelf registration that took effect on Sept. 15, 2025.
The announcement also referenced a merger with Semler Scientific. It gave no details on timing or terms.
Strive also said Monday it bought 6,182 BTC between Oct. 17 and Oct. 23. That lifts total holdings to 43,000 BTC, which ranks fourth among public corporate holders, according to Bitcointreasuries data.
