Blockchain trackers KKapon and XRP Live said both transfers were completed at about 00:00:02 UTC. They went into Ripple-controlled wallets commonly known as Ripple 10 and Ripple 11.
Trackers described the release as part of Ripple’s routine monthly schedule. Social media posts suggested something unusual, but the transfers matched past patterns.
Ripple set up the escrow system in December 2017 and first locked 55 billion XRP in contracts. The company said unused tokens would return to new escrow contracts, which extends the schedule past the original 55 months.
What Happens to the Unlocked XRP
An unlock does not mean the tokens will be sold. Ripple has often returned much of the released XRP to new time-locked contracts.
In October, Ripple released 1 billion XRP and re-locked 700 million, a net reduction of 300 million in escrowed supply. The same 700 million re-lock happened in September, according to XRP Ledger analysis.
A November 1 ledger report found no tokens from the latest release in new escrow contracts as of 10:50 UTC. Ripple-controlled escrow holdings stood near 30.4 billion XRP at that point.
If Ripple repeats October’s pattern, the net reduction would again be 300 million XRP. That figure stays unconfirmed until new EscrowCreate transactions appear.
XRP Price Action
XRP traded at about $1.25 on November 1, according to crypto.news data. Trading volume was roughly $717 million.

The token is down 2.89% over seven days and 18.52% over the past month. It lost 16.1% in October after peaking at $1.56 on October 2 and falling as low as $1.20 on October 30.
Analyst Xaif Crypto reported a positive turn in cumulative volume delta, suggesting buyers started responding after earlier selling. He called it a “short-term bullish shift, but not confirmed,” adding that sustained buying is needed to establish a reversal.
ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA) shared an XRP price prediction for November on X, asking whether the setup could really be “this simple.” The linked analysis says XRP’s price level could either hold as a floor or open a deeper slide.

That analysis says a bullish November requires a close above the 50-day moving average at $1.39. XRP must first clear the 200-day average at $1.28 and the 20-day average at $1.31. Failing that, it is likely to stay between $1.20 and $1.39.
If XRP falls below $1.20, it could test the $1.09 low from August 20. XRP ETFs took in $4.3 million the week of October 26 to 30 and hold $1.42 billion in assets.
Binance’s Proof of Reserves check is due November 3. A positive result could ease selling pressure, while a poor one could push XRP toward $1.20. The Fear & Greed Index sat at 46.
The next supply figures depend on Ripple’s later wallet transfers and any new escrow contracts on the XRP Ledger.
