My name is Nihar Neelakanti, Co-founder and CEO of Ecosapiens, a metaverse enabling consumers to fight climate change. Our alpha product is the world’s first carbon-backed NFT that not only symbolizes impact, but quite literally reforests our planet (think Bored Apes, but for the environment and backed by carbon). Before Ecosapiens, I was in the venture capital industry for 6 years, most recently at Menlo Ventures, where I helped develop the climate tech investment thesis. It was there that I found myself in a rabbit hole of crypto-meets-climate and became deeply fascinated by the opportunity to rethink economics in a way that regenerates the planet rather than extracts from it. Prior to that I was at the Kauffman Fellows and Correlation Ventures. I graduated from the University of Southern California.
