Shares also moved further away from their 52-week low of €23.55, recorded earlier in the year.
Deutsche Telekom Stock Rises After Earnings
Deutsche Telekom reported second-quarter revenue of €29.9 billion, up 4.4% from a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA rose 6.8% to €13.4 billion, while adjusted EBITDA AL increased 7.5% to €11.8 billion and came in above market estimates.
Adjusted net profit climbed 11.1% to €2.8 billion. Adjusted earnings per share rose 12.7% to €0.58, beating the consensus estimate of about €0.56. Reported net profit fell 6.3% to €2.4 billion, while reported EPS declined 5% to €0.51.
The company raised the total size of its 2026 share buyback program to as much as €5 billion. It added up to €3 billion to the existing plan, with further purchases expected to continue through December 2026.
The expanded program may reduce the number of shares in circulation and support earnings per share. It also showed that management sees room to return more cash to shareholders while maintaining its financial targets.
T-Mobile US Adds Operational Strength
T-Mobile US remained an important source of growth for the group. Its continued customer and earnings progress helped support Deutsche Telekom’s operating performance during the quarter.
The stock’s advance was company-specific. Vodafone, Telefónica, and Orange did not release similar updates, while the wider European market offered limited support during the session.
For the first half of 2026, revenue rose 2.4% to €59.8 billion. Net profit fell 17.7% to €4.5 billion, and earnings per share dropped 16.6% to €0.93.
Deutsche Telekom kept its 2026 adjusted EBITDA AL target at €47.5 billion and adjusted EPS guidance at €2.20. It raised free cash flow AL guidance from €19.8 billion to about €20 billion, giving investors another reason to support Deutsche Telekom stock. The steady outlook also eased concerns about weaker reported profit.
