The firm aims to grow its onchain portfolio strategy across global markets and asset classes. It will focus on building structured investment products using blockchain infrastructure.
ONDO Finance expansion of tokenized portfolios
Ondo Finance appointed Hoffman as managing director and head of product portfolios. He will oversee the distribution and design of tokenized investment baskets with asset managers globally expanding.
Hoffman previously worked at Grayscale Investments as head of distribution and partnerships. He also spent nearly two decades at Invesco leading ETF and index strategies across the Americas.
The company will focus on building onchain portfolios linked to existing Ondo products. These portfolios will include investment baskets developed with global asset management firms together now.
Hoffman said onchain finance will compress ETF adoption timelines dramatically during the interview. He stated that infrastructure exists, and next-generation portfolio products will build onchain rapidly evolving.
The move comes as tokenization gains traction across Wall Street and crypto markets. Tokenization creates blockchain versions of traditional assets such as stocks, bonds, and funds digitally.
RWA.xyz data shows the tokenized assets market has surpassed $30 billion globally. Citi projects tokenized assets could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, while BCG Ripple estimates higher growth.
Hoffman background and institutional tokenization push
Hoffman joins from Grayscale digital asset fund leadership role. He will expand product portfolios and strengthen distribution networks for tokenized investment offerings across markets, globally scaling.
He previously worked nearly twenty years at Invesco managing ETF and index strategies in the Americas region. He led ETF business development and portfolio strategy initiatives globally.
Ondo Finance continues expanding into tokenized equities and structured onchain products. Its Ondo Global Markets platform reports $1 billion total value locked across 250 stock ETFs.
Hoffman told CoinDesk that the goal includes building a trusted onchain investment portfolio platform for global users. He compared the onchain adoption timeline to the ETF evolution cycle shift.
Major financial firms like BlackRock, Fidelity, and JPMorgan test tokenized asset products. These firms explore blockchain settlement systems to improve speed, liquidity, and interoperability across markets globally.
Supporters say tokenization can reduce settlement times and improve asset mobility across trading venues. It also enables round-the-clock markets and faster transfer system efficiency.
Ondo first gained traction with tokenized Treasury products OUSG and USDY. These products provide blockchain-based exposure to US government debt and yield-generating assets efficiently.
