TLDR
- PUMP price is up over 30% in the past week, trading around $0.001983
- Daily trading volume surged more than 500%, hitting over $164 million
- Influencer Ansem disclosed a $1.5 million PUMP purchase, sparking fresh buying
- Pump.fun has spent around $410 million on token buybacks, burning over 151 billion PUMP
- Analyst BATMAN flagged renewed meme coin interest as a key driver of platform activity
Pump.fun’s PUMP token has had a strong week. The price climbed over 30% in seven days and was up around 18% in a single day, trading near $0.001983 at the time of writing. Market cap sits at roughly $779.88 million.

Daily trading volume tells a similar story. Volume jumped over 512%, reaching $164 million in one session. That level of activity points to real buying pressure, not just low-volume noise.
A key trigger for the move was influencer Ansem disclosing a $1.5 million purchase of PUMP. CoinGecko noted the price climbed more than 23% after Ansem published his investment thesis. Before that, analyst Kaff had argued that PUMP’s fundamentals alone — around $1–2 million in daily revenue and a price-to-earnings ratio near 1 — were not enough to move the market on their own.

On July 20, crypto analyst BATMAN noted that meme coins have been gaining attention again after several weeks of quieter trading. BATMAN pointed out that PUMP had reclaimed an important support level and that increased meme coin launches drive higher activity and revenue on the Pump.fun platform.
Recently, meme coins have been gaining traction and massive attention once again.
Because of that, $PUMP is finally looking interesting, with a recent breakout reclaiming a key support level.

Buybacks Absorbing Unlock Pressure
Pump.fun has been running an aggressive buyback program. The platform has spent around $410 million buying back PUMP tokens and has permanently burned 151.1 billion tokens, removing more than 15% of the original supply.
The daily buyback rate runs at roughly $400,000, which equals about $12.85 million per month. That nearly matches estimated team and investor token unlocks of around $12 million monthly.
Analyst Ali Charts flagged on X that around 82.5 billion PUMP tokens entered their first major insider unlock in July. After a one-year cliff, team and early-investor tokens worth roughly $125 million became available to sell. The buyback program has been absorbing much of that supply pressure.

Technical Picture
PUMP broke out of a range it had been stuck in for weeks, between $0.00140 and $0.00170. The price pushed past $0.0020 before pulling back slightly.
The token is trading well above its 20-day SMA at $0.00159 and its 50-day SMA at $0.00153. The RSI stands at 68.30, approaching but not yet at overbought territory.
Viral launches on the platform have also helped. Jimothy the Raccoon (JIMOTHY) rallied 186% and generated over $36 million in trading volume, boosting overall activity across Pump.fun.
Pump.fun has generated roughly $1.2 billion in lifetime revenue and sold over $800 million worth of SOL through its launchpad.
