RealFi will launch its decentralized finance platform on the Cardano mainnet on October 1, 2026, after completing months of public testing. The project aims to link Cardano liquidity with real-world financial products, including asset-backed yields and lending services.
The launch date follows RealFi’s Pioneer Season, which has tested user activity on the public testnet. The team has used the program to gather feedback, track usage, and make changes before opening the platform to mainnet users.
RealFi Cardano Mainnet Launch Set for October
More than 3,600 users have joined the Pioneer Season, according to the RealFi team. Participants have completed over 40,000 quest actions, giving developers more activity data before the planned launch. The activity has also helped the team assess user behavior across different platform features.
RealFi said the public testnet helped the team study how users move through the platform. Developers also used community feedback to adjust features and improve the user experience before the Cardano mainnet release.

The Pioneer Season will remain open until October 1, allowing users to keep testing the platform. RealFi said the longer testing period does not reflect a major technical problem or a delay in development.
The team plans to use the remaining weeks to apply feedback and prepare the platform for a smoother transition. More information about launch changes and Pioneer participant arrangements should arrive before the mainnet date.
RealFi plans to connect digital assets on Cardano with financial activity outside crypto markets. Its broader model includes microloans, real-world asset products, and returns linked to productive economic activity.
The platform’s core products include USDr and sUSDr. USDr serves as a Cardano-based dollar-pegged stablecoin backed by real-world assets, while sUSDr aims to provide yield from the underlying asset portfolio. These products form part of RealFi’s plan to bring more real-world finance onto Cardano.
Hoskinson Points to TVL Growth Potential
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson shared the latest RealFi announcement and has previously discussed the project as part of Cardano’s growth strategy. He said the platform could attract large amounts of capital if users deposit assets into its smart contracts.
Smart contracts would lock those deposits while generating yield, which could raise Cardano’s total value locked. Deposit, withdrawal, and yield activity could also increase on-chain transactions. Cardano’s TVL currently stands at $64.23 million, after rising 4.99% over the past 24 hours.
