CEO Signals Confidence in Bitcoin Recovery
CEO Matt Cole said on Sunday he has “very strong” conviction the Bitcoin bear market is over. He pointed to Bitcoin’s recent breakouts against both the dollar and gold as supporting evidence.
Cole noted that Bitcoin bottomed against gold in February, roughly five months before it bottomed against the dollar in July. He said the BTC/gold ratio has been a useful gauge and expects demand for scarce assets to keep favoring Bitcoin.
“The upside is not simply Bitcoin going higher. It is Bitcoin becoming the fastest horse inside an expanding scarcity trade while $ASST is structured to amplify that outcome as much as we can responsibly support,” Cole posted on X ahead of Monday’s open.
Bitcoin rose nearly 25% last week, closing Friday at $77,387 after gaining $14,264, according to The Block’s BTC price page.
Strive’s SATA Preferred Stock Returns to Target Range
Strive also manages a preferred stock product called SATA. It closed at $100.01 on Friday, returning to the company’s targeted $99-to-$101 trading range after falling as low as $83.30 in late June.
Strive raised the annualized dividend rate on SATA to 13% in April and switched to daily dividend payments starting June 16. The company launched SATA in November 2025 at $80 per share, raising $160 million in gross proceeds.
SATA operates similarly to Strategy’s STRC preferred stock. STRC was trading near $97 on Monday, below Strategy’s $100 target.
Strategy reported no Bitcoin purchases for the week ended Aug. 23. It sold 18.26 million MSTR shares for about $2 billion between Aug. 17 and Aug. 23, using $300 million to increase its USD Reserve to $5.1 billion.
Strive’s cash and cash equivalents rose to $171.9 million from $154.8 million as of Aug. 14. The fair value of its 505,000 Strategy STRC preferred shares increased to $48.6 million from $47.9 million.
