TLDR
- XRP fell to around $1.49 after retreating from the recent $1.64–$1.65 peak.
- Immediate support has formed near $1.48–$1.50, with deeper support around $1.39–$1.41.
- The XRP price must reclaim $1.54–$1.56 before challenging higher resistance levels.
- Binance data show about 70% of top traders remain long, with long-to-short ratios near 2.6.
- Despite the pullback, XRP remains roughly 15% above its September 17 level near $1.30.
XRP has retreated to around $1.49 after failing to hold its advance above $1.60. The XRP price fell 5.64% over 24 hours, while trading volume reached about $8.33 billion. The pullback followed a rapid move from near $1.38 on September 21 to a recent high around $1.65.
XRP Price Tests Short-Term Support
The 15-minute chart shows sellers pushing XRP below the $1.56 high-volume zone and the $1.54 level. Price then moved toward $1.48 before recovering slightly. The lower wick near $1.48 shows buyers responded, although recent candles still show stronger selling pressure.
Immediate support now sits around $1.48 to $1.50. A break below that range could bring the $1.39 to $1.41 area back into focus. That zone previously recorded heavier trading activity and could become the next level traders watch.
Recovery Zones Remain Above $1.54
XRP must first move back through $1.54 to $1.56 to improve the short-term structure. Above that range, resistance appears near $1.59 to $1.60, followed by the recent high around $1.64 to $1.65. Recent coverage noted that XRP broke above $1.60 during the earlier rally.
Volume increased during the latest decline, showing stronger market activity as the price moved lower. The rise in volume accompanied several large red candles, which pushed XRP through nearby support levels and returned attention to the $1.48 area.
Top Traders Maintain Long Exposure
Binance data show about 70% of top-trader accounts remain long XRP, while roughly 30% remain short. The account-based long-to-short ratio stands near 2.65. Position-based data show a similar split, with the ratio near 2.6.
That positioning remains elevated even after the XRP price dropped from $1.65. Recent market coverage also showed XRP futures open interest had recently declined during an earlier selloff, adding context to the latest shift in price and derivatives activity.
Broader XRP Move Remains Above September Low
XRP still trades above levels recorded one week earlier. CoinMarketCap data place the token near $1.30 on September 17, compared with about $1.49 now. Separate coverage of an XRP Ledger AI payments update also tracked new payment support on the network.
That leaves XRP roughly 15% above the September 17 level despite the retreat. For price action, the immediate focus remains on whether XRP holds $1.48 to $1.50 or returns above $1.54 to $1.56.
