- Analyst Bob Loukas says a retest of the $750 breakout would be a good entry spot.
Zcash (ZEC) is trading near $1,250 on November 8. The privacy-focused coin has been one of the stronger performers of 2026. Its market cap is close to $21 billion.

The price started the year at a much lower level. ZEC rose from below $200 in March to about $1,650 in September. Profit-taking then triggered a pullback from that peak.
The daily chart shows the move began in August. ZEC broke above a resistance zone between $600 and $750 at that time. The rally sped up through September.
Since the peak, ZEC has moved sideways between $1,100 and $1,350. That range shows buyers and sellers working out a new balance. Neither side has taken control yet.
Analyst Bob Loukas shared his view on X about 17 hours before this report. He said ZEC shows a pattern similar to late last year. In his view, the coin is riding its 10-week moving average after a surge.

Loukas added that a retest of the $750 breakout would be an excellent spot, if the price gets there. That level matches the old resistance zone from August. Some traders watch such areas as possible support.
Key Price Levels to Watch
Immediate resistance sits between $1,315 and $1,350. Sellers showed up in that zone recently. A clean break above it could bring $1,400 into view.
Above $1,400, the next targets are $1,500 and the September high near $1,650. Each of those levels marks a point where the price turned before.
On the downside, $1,200 is the first area to watch. Below that sit $1,100 and the round $1,000 mark.
A deeper drop could reach the old breakout region between $750 and $800. That is the same area Loukas highlighted. For the longer trend to look stronger, ZEC needs to reclaim $1,400 and form higher support levels.
CoinMarketCap data shows about $746 million in 24-hour trading volume. That is a high level of activity for the coin. Volume alone does not show whether buyers are still adding.
On the network side, Network Upgrade 7 (NU7) went live on November 5. It cut the target block time from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. That change should make private payments quicker to confirm.
NU7 also added a Network Sustainability Mechanism. It sets aside 60% of transaction fees for future mining rewards. The 21 million coin supply cap stays in place.

According to CoinDesk Research, Shielded Labs has launched an effort called Epoch. It focuses on protecting Zcash against future quantum-computing attacks. The team aims to finish the work by the end of 2027.
The next Zcash halving is expected around November 2028. It will cut the rate of new ZEC issuance. Past halvings across crypto show that lower supply does not always lift prices.
Published models give a range for 2029. PrimeXBT projects ZEC between $1,119 and $1,927, with an average near $1,543. CryptoSlate’s simulation gives a central estimate of about $2,007, with wider outcomes on both sides.
These are algorithm-based estimates, not analyst targets. The $2,500–$3,000 range cited for a bullish case would be about 140% above the current price at the top end. The latest reading has ZEC at about $1,250, with $1,315–$1,350 as the first resistance zone.
