Strive stock (ASST) traded near $29.35 on Monday, down slightly on the day. The dip came as the bitcoin treasury firm disclosed another purchase of the cryptocurrency.
Strive acquired 1,107 BTC between Sept. 21 and Sept. 25. The company paid an average price of $85,396 per coin, for a total of $94.5 million.
The purchase was revealed in a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. CEO Matt Cole also confirmed the buy in a post on X.
Strive’s total bitcoin holdings now stand at 27,462 BTC. That stash is worth roughly $2.3 billion at current prices.
Bitcoin itself slipped to a one-week low near $83,000 on Sunday night. The token was last down about 2% on the day.
How Strive Is Funding the Buys
Strive raised capital mainly through its SATA perpetual preferred stock last week. SATA sales made up 85% of the total capital raised, up from 58% the week before.

Warrant exercises added another $12.4 million to the pot. That figure was down from $21.2 million in the prior week.
The company’s cash and cash equivalents grew during the buying spree. Cash rose from $229.6 million to $248.8 million, according to the filing.
Strive also holds 505,000 units of Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, known as STRC. That holding adds another layer of crypto exposure to the balance sheet.
It sits alongside the firm’s core bitcoin stack. Together, the two positions make up most of Strive’s treasury strategy.
Strive’s Race to Second Place
Strive is currently the fifth largest public bitcoin holder. Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA all rank ahead of it.
Cole has said Strive could reach second place by the end of 2026. He noted that outcome is not the company’s base case.
To pass Twenty One’s 43,514 BTC, Strive would need to add 16,053 more coins. With 13 weeks left in the year, that works out to roughly 1,235 BTC per week.
The current purchase pace is below that target. Last week’s 1,107 BTC follows 1,355 BTC the week before.
Other crypto treasury firms were also active this week. Strategy bought 1,665 BTC, while Bitmine added 17,362 ETH and now holds more than 6 million coins.
Strive stock is up nearly 70% year to date. Strategy stock is down 6% this year, and Twenty One stock has lost 26%.
