TLDR
- A wallet that Lookonchain tied to the Binance hacker swapped 908,793 PROM tokens, valued at about $5 million, on Uniswap V2.
- The swap returned only 0.0316 Ether, worth about $71.
- The Uniswap V2 pool had almost no liquidity to take the other side of the trade.
- The loss was close to 99.999% of the position’s reported value.
- Binance News shared the Lookonchain findings on its verified account.
A wallet that Lookonchain attributed to the Binance hacker has made a trade that returned almost nothing. The wallet sold 908,793 PROM tokens into a Uniswap V2 liquidity pool.
The Binance hacker made a $5M mistake while dumping altcoins!

The tokens were valued at about $5 million. The swap returned 0.0316 Ether, worth about $71.
Lookonchain, a blockchain analytics account, reported the trade. The report said the hacker lost almost the entire value of the PROM position while selling altcoins.
Binance News, a verified Binance account, shared the finding about four hours before the original report was published. The post described the trade as a Uniswap blunder.
Why the Trade Returned So Little
The two numbers in the story describe different things. The $5 million figure was the reported value of the PROM tokens offered. The $71 figure was the value of the Ethereum received.
The swap therefore returned far less than the stated value of the tokens. The loss was close to 99.999% of the position in a single trade.
The reason was the size of the pool. The Uniswap V2 pool was nearly empty, so little was available to take the other side of a large sale.
Uniswap pools set prices based on what they hold. When a pool holds very little, a large sale pushes the price down sharply. This is known as slippage.
In this case, the slippage was extreme. The pool could only pay out 0.0316 Ether for a very large amount of PROM.
The trade shows how the pool’s limited liquidity shaped the result. The token’s reported value alone did not decide how much the pool could return.
Lookonchain linked the wallet to the Binance theft. The report did not say how the wallet came to hold the PROM tokens.
The report also said the sale was part of a wider effort to dump altcoins. The PROM trade was one of those sales.
Binance News repeated the main figures on its account. It put the PROM amount at roughly 908,793 tokens and the loss at almost the full value.
The most recent reporting, published November 1, 2026, repeats the same figures. It lists Uniswap and Ethereum as the assets involved in the swap.
