ARK Invest reshaped several positions on August 17, buying Block, Nvidia and Securitize while selling Shopify, Palantir, Roblox and AMD. The firm’s latest trade disclosures showed fresh demand for companies tied to payments, artificial intelligence, tokenization and digital assets.
The largest purchase involved Block, led by Jack Dorsey. ARKK bought 182,899 shares, while ARKF added 8,772 shares. Block gives ARK exposure to payments and Bitcoin through Cash App, its balance-sheet holdings, Lightning tools, and mining hardware work.
ARK Invest Adds Nvidia Across Five Funds
ARK Invest also increased Nvidia holdings across ARKK, ARKQ, ARKW, ARKF and ARKX. The five funds bought 101,356 shares combined, extending recent purchases of the chipmaker as ARK adjusted its wider technology portfolio.
The Nvidia buying came as ARK reduced Advanced Micro Devices positions across four funds. ARKQ, ARKW, ARKF and ARKX sold AMD shares, showing a different approach to two major semiconductor companies during the same trading session.
ARKF purchased 189,796 shares of Securitize, equal to about 0.13% of the fund. Securitize operates in real-world asset tokenization, a market that connects traditional financial assets with blockchain-based infrastructure and digital ownership systems.
ARK also added 7,115 shares of the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF across ARKW and ARKF. The fund gives investors exposure to Solana and staking rewards. ARKF also bought Nu Holdings, while ARKG added several biotechnology names.
Shopify, Palantir and Roblox Face Sales
ARKK sold 105,530 Shopify shares, while ARKF sold 22,023 Palantir shares. ARK also made its largest sale by share count in Roblox, with ARKK cutting 592,227 shares, equal to about 0.36% of the fund.
Other sales included 10x Genomics, Twist Bioscience, Natera, CareDx and ATAI. ARK also reduced small Brera Holdings positions. The August 17 activity followed earlier purchases of Securitize, a Solana staking ETF, Coinbase and Circle. ARK’s daily trade notices list transactions but do not explain the reason behind each move.
The trading pattern kept digital assets and AI among ARK’s active themes while the firm cut selected software, gaming and semiconductor holdings. Investors can track disclosures for further changes, but the notices do not state ARK’s investment rationale.
