XRP is trading near $1.009 on Friday, finding support at the $1.00 level after recording its weakest daily close since November 2024. The token has fallen roughly 69% from its January 2025 peak of around $3.30.

Despite the price decline, large holders are buying. On-chain analyst Ali Martinez reported that whales purchased more than 72 million XRP in a single 24-hour window. Martinez noted the buying, asking whether large holders are positioning ahead of a potential rally.

I wonder what they know that we don't… Are they preparing for a bull rally? https://t.co/70eHTdeG8a pic.twitter.com/te6Q8JKB7U

That accumulation is not a one-day event. Data from Santiment shows wallets holding at least 1 million XRP grew by 32 over the past three months, bringing the total to around 2,033. These wallets added more than 380 million XRP in the week ending August 9, pushing their combined balances above 8 billion XRP, worth roughly $8.2 billion at current prices.
ETF Inflows Stay Positive
Institutional interest is holding steady. SoSoValue data shows spot XRP ETFs attracted $2.25 million in inflows through Thursday this week. If Friday closes with positive flows, it would mark XRP’s fifth consecutive week of net ETF inflows.

Around 81% of Binance XRP withdrawals were routed to private wallets, suggesting some holders are moving coins off exchanges for longer-term storage.
Network activity has also picked up. Average daily active addresses reached around 35,700 in August, up from 26,400 in July. August 11 was the busiest day since June 5. New address creation remained flat at around 2,260 daily, meaning the increase is driven by existing users, not new ones.
Key Price Levels to Watch
XRP’s realized price sits around $0.75, below the current market price of $1.01. This means XRP has not yet reached the deeply undervalued levels seen at previous cycle lows.
Technically, XRP sits below its 50-day EMA at $1.087, 100-day EMA at $1.169, and 200-day EMA at $1.362. The RSI stands at 36, below the midline, and the MACD remains negative.
Crypto investor Diana identifies $0.87 as the next major support, with $0.77–$0.80 as a larger decision zone. To the upside, $1.06 is a near-term hurdle, with around 3 billion XRP sitting near break-even at that level.
