Robinhood is bringing crypto trading to the UK this week, rolling out access to more than 50 digital assets through Bitstamp, the exchange it acquired in 2025.
The launch is part of Robinhood’s all-in-one app, which bundles crypto alongside stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options and futures. It positions Robinhood as a direct rival to established UK investment platforms.
HOOD stock was up 0.77% to above $94 in premarket trading Monday. The stock closed at $93.29 on Friday, up 2.84% on the day.
The stock has gained nearly 8% since Robinhood reported its Q2 earnings, which beat Wall Street estimates. Crypto transaction revenue came in at $100 million for the quarter.
Robinhood is charging zero trading fees, no account maintenance fees and no custody fees for UK users. There is a 0.1% foreign exchange fee, which can rise to 0.3% for certain weekend conversions.

One thing worth noting: crypto holdings through Bitstamp UK are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service.
The UK launch is backed by Robinhood’s crypto registration from the Financial Conduct Authority, which allows it to operate legally and meet UK anti-money laundering requirements.
AI-Powered Crypto Analysis
Alongside the trading launch, Robinhood introduced “Cortex Digests for Crypto,” a generative AI widget built into the app. It pulls in breaking news, market data, technical indicators and Robinhood’s own insights.
The tool delivers plain-English explanations of what’s driving price moves in individual crypto assets on any given day. It’s designed to give retail investors faster context without needing to hunt for information across multiple sources.
“Our new product provides a transparent, low-cost alternative to many incumbent UK platforms, which often rely on opaque pricing structures and apply wide spreads that can erode customers’ returns,” Robinhood said.
Expanding the Crypto Ecosystem
The launch also opens Robinhood Chain to UK developers. That’s a layer 2 blockchain built on the Arbitrum platform, extending the platform’s crypto infrastructure into the UK market.
Supported assets at launch include Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Hyperliquid. The full list covers more than 50 cryptocurrencies in total.
Jordan Sinclair, President of Robinhood UK, said the company is “taking another major step toward becoming the all-in-one investment platform for the UK.”
Bernstein maintained its $160 price target on HOOD stock. The firm pointed to Robinhood Chain, tokenized assets, Bitstamp and Robinhood Earn as growth drivers.
The UK crypto rollout begins this week for eligible customers.
