TLDR
- Peter Brandt projects XRP could reach $2.16, about 43% above the $1.51 level shown on his chart.
- Brandt identified a possible cup-and-handle pattern within a larger inverse head-and-shoulders structure.
- Heavy overhead supply between roughly $2 and $3.70 could create selling pressure as XRP recovers.
- Brandt prefers Monero, Solana and Ether charts over XRP, with Monero ranking as his favorite.
- The trader warned that the $2.16 XRP price prediction is not guaranteed, as chart patterns can change.
Veteran trader Peter Brandt has set a $2.16 target in his latest XRP price prediction, from a chart near $1.51. The projection points to about 43% upside from that level. However, Brandt warned that XRP faces selling pressure above its current price.
XRP Price Prediction Points to $2.16
Brandt identified a cup-and-handle pattern that could form part of a larger inverse head-and-shoulders structure. He used a measured move from that pattern to reach $2.16. He stressed that chart targets can change as price develops.

Excuse the rant I am about to unleash
I believe in a concept called "measured moves"
Targets or objectives are not sacred
Charts often fail to deliver what we first identify and morph into something else
I have identified a C&H in XRP
On a larger time frame this C&H might… pic.twitter.com/o695MCEXHB— The Factor Report (@PeterLBrandt) October 6, 2026
The trader described the possible right shoulder as poorly formed and short. That leaves room for more development before XRP makes a stronger move. XRP entered October after its strongest third quarter in four years, while traders watched resistance near $1.54 and $1.70.
Brandt focused on the supply sitting above XRP. Many buyers entered during the 2025 rally, when XRP traded between roughly $2 and $3.70. Some may sell if the token returns toward their entry prices, adding resistance during a recovery.
Recent data shows XRP holding near $1.50 as trading activity grows. XRP trading volume recently rose while the token stayed near support, and Ripple released one billion XRP from escrow on October 1. Brandt still treats the $2.16 XRP price prediction as a target, not a fixed outcome.
Brandt Focuses on Price Action
Brandt said he bases crypto trades on price charts rather than project fundamentals, apart from Bitcoin. His latest XRP view follows earlier comments showing interest in the chart while remaining critical of the asset itself.
That approach explains why Brandt compared XRP with several altcoins. His analysis focused on past trading ranges, chart structure, and supply waiting above current prices. Those factors shaped his preference for other setups.
Monero Leads Brandt’s Preferred Charts
Brandt said Monero has absorbed much of its overhead supply. He viewed Solana’s cup-and-handle setup more favorably and said Ether has heavy congestion without XRP’s supply pressure. XRP recently held near $1.50 as traders watched a possible breakout above $1.60.
Stellar also carries overhead supply, Brandt said, but not at the same scale as XRP. He ranked Monero as his preferred chart among the assets compared. For XRP, the $2.16 level depends on the pattern developing and buyers absorbing supply above the market.
