Jim Cramer called CrowdStrike (CRWD) a “MUST BUY” stock on Monday after CEO George Kurtz published a widely-read post on the state of AI security.
CrowdStrike climbed 3.86% in overnight trading to $214.72. The stock had closed Friday at $206.74.

Cramer shared Kurtz’s post on X, calling it “the most important post you will read on this MUST BUY stock.”
Kurtz was responding to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, who had called on AI labs to slow down the pace of frontier AI development. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman agreed with Amodei, as did several other AI leaders.
Kurtz pushed back on the idea that slowing down would help. He argued the frontier will move at whatever speed it moves, and the cybersecurity industry’s job is to make sure it moves safely.
“Pacing what comes next doesn’t secure what’s already here,” Kurtz wrote.
The Agent-State Threat
Kurtz said the nature of cyberattacks has fundamentally changed. AI now gives every criminal and lone actor what he called “elite execution.” Attacks are no longer carried out by individual hackers but by coordinated AI agents running entire campaigns without human intervention.
“The unit of threat is no longer the hacker. It’s an autonomous campaign. I call it the Agent-state,” Kurtz wrote.
His proposed solution is to treat every AI agent as a privileged identity, with strict permissions, short-lived credentials, and a kill switch. Humans, he said, should remain in charge of high-stakes decisions.
Kurtz also noted that Anthropic and OpenAI have already committed to embedding independent evaluators with employee-level access to their systems. He said CrowdStrike would bring its own frontline threat data to those discussions.
SafeMind and the Nvidia Partnership
On Sept. 1, CrowdStrike and Nvidia launched SafeMind, a joint agentic defense system. Kurtz described it as “always improving,” saying it learns from every attack it blocks.
Last month, Kurtz said every customer CrowdStrike speaks with is concerned about agentic threats, suggesting demand for this type of defense is growing.
Despite the overnight pop, CRWD has slipped around 6% over the past month after hitting a recent high in late August. That high came after the company posted record quarterly results, which pushed security budget conversations forward with enterprise clients.
Year-to-date, the stock is up 74.46%, and up over 85% in the past twelve months. CrowdStrike carries a Momentum score in the 96th percentile and a Growth score in the 97th percentile.
Cramer noted he is not broadly bullish right now, comparing this market to 2018 and advising investors to trim winners rather than panic sell. He named cybersecurity as one of his key investing themes for 2026 back in August.
CrowdStrike stood at $214.72 in overnight trading as of Monday morning.
