TLDR
- Solana moved above $110, breaking a level that had capped the price for several weeks.
- Technical analysis places $133 as the next major resistance area if the current recovery continues.
- Analyst Ash Crypto said SOL has reclaimed its weekly 200-day moving average and reached $120 for the first time in eight months.
- Short-term support sits near $111.06 and $107.40, with a move below $107.40 weakening the current setup.
- Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade has entered public testnet testing, targeting transaction finality of about 150 milliseconds.
Solana has pushed above $110 after several weeks of resistance, strengthening its short-term price structure. SOL also reached $120 during the move, its highest level in around eight months.

Technical analysis now places $133 as the next major resistance level. The target depends partly on Bitcoin continuing its own recovery while SOL holds recently reclaimed support.
Solana has also recently outperformed Bitcoin on a relative basis. The SOL/BTC chart still shows room before reaching its next resistance area, according to the supplied analysis.
SOL Price Targets $133 After Breaking Resistance
The nearest short-term support sits around $111.06, while $107.40 is the wider level being monitored. Holding above $107.40 would keep the current near-term upward structure intact.
A move below that level would be the first indication that the latest advance has formed a local top. Traders are also waiting for SOL to establish a higher low before treating the move as a confirmed broader trend reversal.
Analyst Ash Crypto said on X that SOL currently has one of the stronger technical setups among altcoins. He highlighted SOL reclaiming its weekly MA200, reaching $120 for the first time in eight months and developing a weekly golden cross.
$SOL has one of the most bullish setups among altcoins right now.
– Reclaimed the weekly MA200.
– Hit $120 for the first time in 8 months.
– Weekly golden cross is forming.Solana may have already bottomed. pic.twitter.com/FRQ6kYcAQ2

Ash Crypto said these signals may indicate that Solana has already formed its market bottom. His post focused on the weekly chart rather than setting a specific near-term price target.
The $133 area remains the main upside level identified in the shorter-term analysis. A sustained move toward that zone would extend the recovery that began after SOL cleared $110.
Alpenglow Upgrade Moves to Public Testnet
Solana is also testing a network upgrade called Alpenglow, designed to cut transaction finality from roughly 12.8 seconds to about 150 milliseconds. Finality is the point at which a blockchain transaction is considered irreversible.
Alpenglow is coming.

Alpenglow replaces Solana’s existing TowerBFT consensus process with a voting protocol called Votor. Validators can settle blocks after one or two voting rounds rather than waiting through a longer sequence of onchain votes.
The upgrade has already spent more than four months running on a smaller dedicated network. It is now being introduced to Solana’s established public testnet for broader testing.
Validators taking part need Agave 4.3, the main software used to run Solana. Anza recommended that version to all mainnet validators on September 21.
Firedancer and Frankendancer do not yet support the Alpenglow test. This means the first testnet migration will currently rely entirely on Agave.
Anza’s schedule lists September 28 as a tentative date for enabling Agave 4.3 features on mainnet. It is not a confirmed Alpenglow mainnet launch date, and the upgrade remains in testing.
