Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg took the stage at Meta Connect on Wednesday to show how the company’s Muse AI agent will weave into nearly every product it makes. The event came after a run-up that pushed META stock up 30% this month, putting it on track for its best month since July 2013.

Zuckerberg framed Muse as the centerpiece of Meta’s push toward what he calls “personal superintelligence.” He wore a shirt reading “BUILDING IS MY LOVE LANGUAGE” while demonstrating the agent live on stage.
The stock dipped 2% in after hours trading following the presentation, based on the latest available figures.
New hardware built around Muse
The biggest reveal was Muse Charm, a keychain-sized device that lets users talk to their Muse agent without pulling out a phone. Zuckerberg said the team has “packed a lot of technology with this little guy.”
He didn’t share pricing but confirmed the device is set to ship in time for the December holidays. Meta still needs to finalize its components before launch.
Zuckerberg also confirmed Muse will soon be built directly into Meta’s smartglasses lineup. A wake word will let wearers summon the agent hands-free, and he showed this off by asking Muse to book a meeting with CTO Andrew Bosworth.
The demo worked without a hitch. Muse currently sits at the top of Apple’s App Store rankings, and folding it into glasses could push that momentum further.
VR makes a quiet return
Meta also announced a new pair of VR glasses priced at $1,299, arriving in spring 2027. It’s the company’s first VR device since the $299 Quest 3S launched back in 2024.
The glasses run on an external puck housing a Qualcomm processor and battery, keeping the headset itself lighter. Eye and hand tracking sensors cut down on the need for handheld controllers.
Zuckerberg described it as delivering “the same magical feeling of presence and immersion” as past Quest headsets, just in a slimmer form. Notably absent from his keynote this year: any real mention of the metaverse, the concept that once drove the company to rename itself entirely.
“We made the decision to focus a little bit less on the metaverse for now,” Zuckerberg said, carving out an exception for the new VR glasses.
Beyond the two headline devices, Meta packed the keynote with smaller updates. A camera-free, audio-only pair of smartglasses is now available for people wary of the video-recording controversy tied to earlier models.
The company also rolled out a fresh generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, including a collaboration with Blackpink’s Lisa. Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses are getting hologram video calling, letting users beam a photorealistic digital version of their face into a call.
Muse itself is expanding beyond text chat too. A voice mode is coming that will let users speak to the agent directly and have it handle tasks in real time.
On the retail side, Meta struck new partnerships putting Muse to work with Walmart, Sephora, Best Buy and Gap. Not every retailer is on board, though. Amazon blocked Muse from completing purchases on its site over the weekend, saying the agent wasn’t authorized to do so.
