It marks the fourth consecutive month of revenue growth for the Taiwanese chipmaker.
Year-to-date revenue reached T$3.38 trillion, up 39.3% compared to the same period in 2025.
AI Demand Keeps Capacity Full
Demand for TSMC’s most advanced chipmaking processes has been a key driver. The company’s 5-, 4-, and 3-nanometer capacity was fully booked through Q2, according to research firm TrendForce.
During its Q2 earnings call in July, TSMC described AI-related demand as “extremely robust.” The company reported a 77% year-on-year jump in Q2 profit and forecast Q3 revenue between $44.6 billion and $45.8 billion.
TSMC’s advanced processes are in high demand partly because the company is a top supplier to Nvidia, which continues to ramp production of its AI processors.
The strong demand has allowed TSMC to push up prices it charges customers for contract manufacturing, while also driving capacity expansion.
TSMC’s stock has doubled over the past 12 months and has surged sixfold since late 2022.
Global Foundry Market Dominance
TSMC held a 72.5% share of the global foundry market in Q2, per TrendForce. Samsung Foundry ranked second at 5.9%, with China’s SMIC at 5.4%.
The world’s top 10 foundries combined posted record revenue of nearly $53.49 billion in Q2, driven in part by supply constraints for advanced processes tied to AI and high-performance computing.
This week, TSMC and Dutch chip equipment maker ASML announced a joint initiative to advance next-generation chipmaking technology. TSMC said it plans to use ASML’s High NA technology in large-scale manufacturing for advanced nodes starting in 2030.
