Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, said on X on Nov. 4 that he bought more bitcoin, gold and silver as other investors panicked. He wrote that people panicked when gold, silver and bitcoin fell, and that he bought more.
WHY WORRY?
People paniced when gold, silver, Bitcoin crash. I bought more.
Why?
Because the real problem is the growing size of global debt, especially the USA, the
incompetence of our leaders to do what really needs to be done, an education that teaches nothing, zero, nada…— Robert Kiyosaki (@theRealKiyosaki) November 4, 2026
In a later post, he said he could not wait for the next crash in the three assets. He plans to buy more when it comes.
Why He Says He Buys When Prices Drop
Kiyosaki called the growing size of global debt the real problem, especially in the United States. He also criticized political leaders, calling them incompetent.
He said the education system teaches nothing about money. He described fiat currency as fake money that takes wealth from people who work and save.
US federal debt has reached about $40.6 trillion. Kiyosaki has long called the US the biggest debtor nation in history.
The International Monetary Fund shared a related warning in remarks released Oct. 16. It projected global public debt at 100% of gross domestic product by the end of the decade.
The fund urged countries with high debt or high risk to start fiscal consolidation. It said those plans should be credible and use realistic assumptions.
Kiyosaki has explained his approach before. On Oct. 3, he answered a woman who asked if expecting trouble was pessimistic. He compared holding these assets to carrying car insurance.
He asked whether she owned them. He said he preferred money that governments could not print.
On Feb. 1, he compared market crashes to retail sales. He said shoppers welcome discounts, while investors often sell falling assets. At that time, he said he was holding cash to buy more gold, silver and bitcoin.
On Feb. 20, he said he bought one bitcoin for $67,000 as the price fell. He tied the purchase to his view that US debt would weaken the dollar. He also expects the Federal Reserve to create more money.
Price Targets and Where Markets Stand Now
On March 16, Kiyosaki gave a forecast for one year after a global financial crash. It put bitcoin at $750,000 and ethereum at $95,000. The same forecast listed gold at $35,000 per ounce and silver at $200.
Earlier, he had set 2026 targets of $250,000 for bitcoin, $27,000 for gold and $100 for silver. Silver passed its target in late January and topped $121 per ounce.
That rally did not last. On Jan. 29, gold hit $5,600 and then dropped $400 in about 30 minutes. Silver now trades at less than half of its January peak.
All three assets rebounded after Tuesday’s US midterm elections, in which Democrats took control of Congress. A weaker dollar supported the move.
Gold rose 2.34% to above $4,023 per ounce after touching a yearly low. Silver jumped nearly 4% toward $52 per ounce.
Bitcoin recovered to about $80,500 on Wednesday after falling to $75,618 earlier in the day. It is still down between 1.8% and 3.8% over the past week, depending on the source and timing of the data.
