EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN BITCOIN PLAN

Others are buying now.
And that’s exactly how markets work.
Everyone has a different strategy.

Some people believe time in the market matters more… pic.twitter.com/eA7rLXYFta

Chen made the comments in an interview, describing herself as “just an exchange CEO” and someone who is “not particularly good at price analysis.” Despite that, she shared a clear personal strategy: hold stablecoins and wait for a better entry point.
Chen’s $50K Target
Chen said she does not have a specific date in mind, but believes Bitcoin could reach $50,000 later this year or in early 2027. That would be a drop of more than $25,000 from current prices.
She is not alone in that view. Transform Ventures founder Michael Terpin has said Bitcoin could fall 66% from its October 2025 all-time high of $126,100, which would bring it into the $40,000 range. Veteran trader Peter Brandt had also flagged a potential price bottom around early October.
Chen acknowledged that Bitcoin could also end the year $20,000 higher. She was not predicting a crash, just expressing personal caution.
Bitcoin is up more than 20% in the past week, which has drawn attention from traders and institutions. But Chen’s view reflects concern that the move may be a bear market bounce rather than the start of a new bull cycle.
Portfolio and Crypto Views
Chen said most of her personal portfolio is split between Bitcoin and the S&P 500. She holds less than 1% in Ethereum and Solana.
She expressed support for Hyperliquid, a decentralized finance project, saying she is bullish on it especially if the CFTC finds a way to allow it to operate in regulated US markets. President Trump indicated this week that CFTC chair Mike Selig is working on that.
Chen was direct about memecoins. She said she dislikes them and does not expect another memecoin season like previous cycles. “Retail investors are not stupid,” she said, pointing to how many people lost money in speculative tokens.
No $1 Million Bitcoin by 2030
Chen also addressed the question of whether Bitcoin can reach $1 million by 2030. She does not think it will happen.
Her reasoning is based on Bitcoin’s four-year cycles. She said the ratio between the all-time high and all-time low in each cycle keeps decreasing, suggesting diminishing returns over time.
This puts her at odds with more bullish forecasters like Brian Armstrong and Cathie Wood, who have backed the $1 million target.
Chen became Bitget’s CEO in 2024 after joining as managing director in 2022. Before crypto, she worked in television, technology, and founded two companies.
