Equinix (EQIX) stock climbed more than 3% in premarket trading on Tuesday after the company announced an expanded collaboration with Cisco (CSCO) and Nvidia (NVDA) to help enterprises deploy AI infrastructure across its data center network.
The move builds on the existing Cisco Secure AI Factory with Nvidia, which Equinix will now make available across its global data center footprint.
Customers will get access to standardized AI factory blueprints and deployment automation — designed to cut the complexity out of standing up AI workloads at scale.
Equinix said the setup will give customers access to the interconnection density, specialized power, and advanced cooling needed to run the latest AI hardware and software.
The partnership is focused on making it easier for enterprises to get AI off the drawing board and into production.
Presidio P.A.T.H. Lab Partnership
Equinix is also teaming up with Presidio to deploy its Programmable AI Technology Hub — known as the P.A.T.H. Lab — inside its data centers.
The lab gives customers a real-world environment to test, validate, and refine AI infrastructure before committing to an enterprise-wide rollout.
Think of it as a dress rehearsal for your AI deployment — inside an actual production-grade data center.
Gordon Mackintosh, Equinix’s SVP of global partner sales and ecosystems, said the goal is to combine the right physical foundation with a place to prove it out before scaling.
“The success of enterprise AI starts with its physical foundation,” Mackintosh said. “Our collaboration with Cisco, Nvidia and Presidio delivers the infrastructure AI workloads demand, while giving customers a place to prove it out before they scale.”
What This Means for Equinix Customers
The partnership positions Equinix data centers as end-to-end AI deployment hubs — not just colocation space.
Customers get the hardware, the connectivity, and now a testing environment, all under one roof.
Equinix operates one of the largest global data center networks, giving the partnership immediate reach across major enterprise markets.
The Cisco Secure AI Factory with Nvidia brings together networking, compute, and security into a single deployable package.
By hosting it inside Equinix facilities, enterprises avoid the friction of sourcing, integrating, and validating infrastructure across multiple vendors independently.
The P.A.T.H. Lab adds a layer of confidence for enterprises that want to stress-test deployments before they go live.
Equinix shares were up over 3% ahead of Tuesday’s market open at the time of writing.
