TLDR
- Solana price hit $120.86 on September 25, its first move above $120 since January 29.
- SOL is up over 100% from its June 2026 low near $60.39.
- US spot Solana ETFs added $32.81 million in net inflows, pushing total assets near $1.81 billion.
- Futures open interest climbed to $7.49 billion, up about 14% from early September.
- Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade, aiming for 150-millisecond settlement, is now live on both public test networks.
Solana’s price broke above $120 on September 25, reaching $120.86. This is the first time the token has traded at that level since January 29.

Over 24 hours, SOL gained 3.56%. Over the past week, it rose 7.61%, according to CoinGecko data.
Other major coins moved less over the same period. Bitcoin traded near $83,800, Ethereum sat around $2,687, and XRP held near $1.57. The total crypto market was valued near $2.97 trillion, though it slipped slightly over the day.
Solana’s Climb From Its June Low
Solana’s June 2026 low was $60.39. At $120.86, the token has more than doubled from that point.
The climb happened in stages. SOL moved from about $97 in mid-September to above $112 by September 18. August alone brought a 41.5% gain, setting up September’s advance.
Analyst The Kobeissi Letter posted about the move on X, writing that Solana rose above $120 for the first time since January 29 and is now up over 100% from this year’s low, adding that “the crypto rally continues to broaden out.”
That pattern of gradual gains, rather than one sharp jump, suggests the old $120 ceiling may now act as short-term support.
ETF Inflows and Futures Activity
US spot Solana ETFs took in $32.81 million in net inflows on September 24, the most recent completed session. Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) brought in $27.97 million, and Fidelity’s FSOL added $4.84 million.

Combined ETF assets reached about $1.81 billion, per SoSoValue data. Total historical inflows across these funds now stand at $1.52 billion.
Solana futures open interest reached $7.49 billion, up from roughly $6.57 billion in early September, a rise of about 14%. Futures trading volume hit $11.76 billion over 24 hours, compared with $9.38 billion earlier in the month.
CoinGlass recorded about $21.43 million in liquidations over the same 24-hour period.
On the technical side, the relative strength index sits at 61, and the MACD reads near positive 1.34. Both point to a bullish short-term trend. Traders are now watching $122 to $123 as near-term resistance, with $130 as the next target if that level breaks.
Trader Master of Crypto shared a longer-term view on X, pointing to roughly 703 days of accumulation followed by about 230 days of manipulation, and said expansion is now starting, with $500 set as a longer-term target.
$SOL MAY FINALLY BE ENTERING THE MOVE WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR.
~703 days of accumulation.
~230 days of manipulation. Now expansion is starting fast, and the major markup phase will be next.
$500 is the target.
The only question is how long it takes to get there. pic.twitter.com/KTJsFNJ1E7

Network Upgrade Reaches Test Networks
Separately, Solana’s Alpenglow upgrade reached its second public test network this week. The upgrade targets transaction finality of about 150 milliseconds, down from roughly 12.8 seconds under the current system.
Anza, the company building Solana’s core software, announced the devnet switch on September 25, one day after the testnet completed its own transition. The Solana Foundation’s upgrade page now lists Alpenglow as active on both networks.
Developers use the devnet to test applications with tokens that carry no real value, while the testnet is used to check network software and validator performance under stress before any changes reach the main blockchain.
